Will savage ever return to it's glory days?
since the extensive renovation i've been waiting for multiple bands/ concerts/shows, whatever to come here and it hasnt happened. not even at other arenas either. theyre actually bypassing toledo for.....bowling green?

WOW

what gives?

KISS, eddie money, boston, bob dylan, chicago, metallica, robert plant, etc etc all came here for a long spell in the 70's 80's and 90's i wasnt in ohio then but i keep hearing all the stories from people about these awesome shows

can we get that magic back? i hope so because it'd be a shame to see the place only used for games.

WWE has been downtown a number of times (including a nationally televized event), they've had some if the to country performers, Harlem Globetrotters, Disney on Ice, monster trucks, etc. ALL those events go to the "big time" arenas, too.

ok but none of those are concerts. i was at all those wwe events, great shows but they need more variety.
meanwhile bgsu pulled dylan, the globetrotters and florida georgia line recently.

seemingly if it isnt pop country, toledo huntington wont book it.

bad idea

Huntington is probably a better venue for the shows. For set up and I remember they used to rig the sound from the ceiling in old Savage. I thought there were some roof truss issues with continuing to do that. Even still Huntington is getting medium level shows the big guys will always bypass us for bigger venues.

The Dylan thing was some sort of fundraiser for the Red Cross. I'm good with seeing the Globetrotters every 10 yrs or so, and there just aren't that many stadium rock hair bands anymore.
