I bet none of you thought I was smart enough to come up with that! I didn't - my brother-in-law, a Troy fan, brought that up to me as a way to have a head coaching change and also not have to buy McGee out. Not that I want it to happen, but there it is.

My favorite part of this post is that you think it's smart

My favorite part was when the village idiot scooped all of you. Now THAT is how you contribute valuable insight to a message board. Now excuse me while I drop my mic and walk off the stage.

How is it that you scooped anyone when you admitted right off the bat that it was your smart brother in law who came up with it. Go back and pick up your mic

I used a source. I have to make it up myself for it to be a scoop? Plus I made the choice to listen to him and believe him. I just can't win with you. It's a good thing I don't give a ****.

A source provides information. Someone who "came up with it by himself" is not a source.

For it to be a scoop, McGee or someone in Petrino's camp or another knowledgeable party would contact you with the information before it happens. Not your brother in law dreaming up possible scenarios.

I said he brought it up to me. I never said it was his idea.

So you are saying your brother in law had inside knowledge that McGee was leaving. In the beginning you made it sound like it was a possible scenario.

He's worked at the Troy athletic department before, he has friends that are SID type people at other schools. It probably came from somewhere. Let's not give him too much credit.

I've lost about 50 brain cells trying to have a conversation with you. Congratulations on your "scoop".

You could just stop talking to me.

It's never a conversation anyway. It's like I say something, and then you don't read it and say I'm a dumb***.

I have never said you were a dumb***. Idiot maybe, and not even the village idiot. You called yourself that.

Okay let's play semantics.

Which is dumbest?

- the originator of the message
- the message
- the messenger

I am going to go with the messenger for posting this crap on a UAB message board.

Well this is just awkward as hell, isn't it?

I have to admit though (even though it wasn't a "source" or a "scoop"), this was pretty funny.

Also a drop down in a career move.

We have a coach that will be a lot more valuable down the road if and when he wins here versus going back to an OC job.

Add to that the fact that he has 3 years left on his contract here at a higher pay scale.

Shows what us Blazer fans know. :( Depressing that the salary for an OC that doesn't call plays is higher at Louisville than a head coach here.

All of that is right, and it still happened anyway.
