Unless something falls off the track InsideTheVille.com expects Bobby Petrino to be named the next football coach at Louisville.
Hearing there will be a sizable buyout clause in Petino's contract at Louisville.
Michigan State DC Pat Narduzzi interviewed this morning and was a finalist for job, as we've previously reported.
Petrino, per sources, interviewed with Tom Jurich today.
I'd expect announcement in the next 24 hours, perhaps as soon as tonight. We're fully expecting the new football coach in attendance at Thursday's basketball game. We're fully expecting Bobby Petrino to be that guy.

Louisville: Bobby Petrino interviewed today with Tom Jurich. Brett McMurphy reports that Petrino is one of 3 finalists. As we noted on Twitter earlier today, sources tell us that Petrino is a real possibility here. Louisville has called a Thursday morning athletic board meeting where it is believed the new hire will be approved.

Wishing him well, but I must agree - awful fit. I think they got locked into competing with Texas A&M and Kevin Sumlin. That and he was a coach they knew would not say no.

He doesn't like to rub elbows with the big wheels, which might not go over in Texas,......... one other thing might matter to some (if it were 1950). The man can recruit and coach though.

His comments were off based...........he wanted a guy (Jon Gruden) that has very little interest in coaching college ball.

I saw a quote from Red McCombs before the coach was selected. He said they could go "Eenie Meany Miney Mo" and pick a coach. Given the original wording of that phrase, I thought that was ironic and unfortunate.
