Oh please. I remember when USF got a verbal from the kid, USF fans were proclaiming him as the start of national dominance, etc. etc. Little did we know that every other program was probably repelled by him due to ongoing troubles (i.e. a knack for felonies).

When you blow enough smoke and talk SO much about a recruit like you did Stirrups, you better be ready for the backlash when your "prize" turns into an arrest record x 6.

But please, continue telling us about those "superior" athletes you recruit, especially those that never reach campus.

Dont worry rather than tell you about them, youll get to see them in action when we blow your great team once again.

31-14 i guess that wasnt enough superior athlete stuff to shut your traps.

Talk is cheap and until you beat us the facts is that you ARE our bitc _ es on the field. Now go and try to spin that one.

Well done, Jim.

Stirrups was never a Bull, so it just another sad example of a kid throwing away his life by not thinking.

However, tell us why accused rapist Ron Ellis is still on campus and scholarship. I thought your BoyScout TroopLeader didn't tolerate stuff like that?

Ron Ellis was suspended from the team and driven to the police station by UCF before the media even found out about him being in trouble. O'leary didn't even recruit the kid. None of O'leary's recruits have failed to qualify or being in trouble.

As a UCF fan I get a bit upset at the young kids that go representing our school on these forums. Every school has them, heck you could be one. One thing I take solace in is the fact that those with a bit of intelligence can figure out a few things about forum posters. What is typed here means absolutely nothing to those making decisions for either their school or conferences that are considering future relationships. Can we not just take pride in our great schools? If you as an individual feel like you are not complete because of something lacking in your life, stop making our great school look like it has the complex or issue. The begging and complaining just needs to stop. The bad thing is you are the minority, those with the time to post on forums, but you make the school look bad. When the time comes the BigEast will most likely invite UCF, but not one thing typed in these threads will influence that decision one bit. For all we know UCF might even reject such an offer. If you are a UCF fan, then you know we are what we are, nothing more. Want greatness, sure, but realize what we are and stop begging for acceptance, because our great school does not need your begging.

O'Liar wants USF yearly....
O'Liar wants USF yearly....

yeah well

USF would like to play UF yearly, home & home
USF would like to play ND yearly, home & Home
GOL wants to eat donuts daily.

What you want and what you get are two different things altogether.

USF, just like UF & ND and ucf will do whatever is best for each school. No one is chicken or scared. The players & coaches want to play anybody and everyone. BUT, it is up the school Ads and School Presidents to decide what is best for their respective universities. So while this is fun banmter on message boards, that is all it is.... banter!

I did find it interesting that the schedule for the Florida Football Media weekend ucf was on Saturday while USF was on Sunday with the other BCS schools from our State. Go Figure

cont.....
under the "oh by the way" heading.....

why is any subject concerning a school from C-DOA even listed on a BIG EAST Message board?

This is a non-issue for USF while it appears to be a major issue for ucf. So it should be on ucfs message boards....... :banned:

Good question.

Ask the WVU Fan who made a special thread about UCF's Head Coach on the Big East Board.

LOL!! Comparing yourself to ND and UF, I see. The difference is that ND and UF are in positions to tell USF to go screw themselves because they have 100 tons of history and success over USF.

USF over UCF has ONE, ONE victory coming off a 16 loss in a row team. CONGRATS!! Cleary this puts you in a position to compare the situation to you trying to get ND. 03-melodramatic

As for your "program" victory......congrats man. I'm sure they consider USF a huge power to be reckoned with, especially with the few prized recruits you actually get ending up in jail or back in 3rd grade.

Geez this thread has really spiraled out of control...what a waste perfectly good nouns, verbs, and adjective or in the case of the Tinmen....lowly sounding guttural sounds.

BTW....are you one of those [i]few banal U*F fans whose raison d

CatsClaw Wrote:Why make a big deal about it.

First, as a UCF fan, I have to say that ultimately I don't give a rats ass one way or the other. I think both programs are developing nicely, and it'll end up being much like UF/UM -- a rarely played rivalry (by one schools choosing.)

Let's just keep this in context though. This isn't about what ucf has to gain by playing a bcs opponent -- UCF has tried to make this game an annual since day 1, when that wouldn't have even factored into the decision.

It took the threat of state politics (coincidently, the same way the FSU/UF rivalry started) to make the game happen.

USF has from the very start of their existence avoided a commitment regarding this game. I, and many other UCF fans, think that this is a pretty short sighted decision and not in the best interest of our region as a whole.

As far as last years game, yeah, we got our asses handed to us. Some years Miami blows out FSU, some years UF blows out FSU. It's football.

Once again wether your school, fans or others agrees with USF's decision has NOTHING to do with it.
USF just like any other school should be able to do what it wants.

How would you feel if it was FAU demanding a series with UCF and threatening to get a law to force UCF to play them annually?

If it was a large crowd with lots of fan interest, I'd be okay with it. But the last time FAU came up to UCF they didn't bring any fans.

they only bring about 8 to 10k to their own games as well lmfao

As for usf/UCF series if it happens great if not so be it... both schools are going to move on up with or without it. On a side note.... UCF signed a 15 year 15 mil naming rights deal on stadium today with brighthouse...

I didn't want to start another thread about a non-Big East team on here so I am tagging it onto this one.

Today, UCF and Brighthouse Networks announced a 15 year/15 million dollar agreement for the naming rights to the on campus stadium.

As usual, it's a GREAT day to be a Knight!

It looks like UCF is doing just fine. :) 15 mill..

I don't get how USF is worried about who has "more to gain" when UCF is gaining quite well on their own.

It's obvious that this is about recruiting. The Bulls are hoping to project an air of superiority to recruits without playing the games.

What they don't realize is that there aren't that many people wearing their hats and shirts. Nobody sees them as superior.

Last years game was one of the few times I've seen people care about the Bulls. You'd think their admin would look at the attendance figures and realize how significant that game could be to their perception problem. It's a pity.
