1. Corners have far less run support experience, there is so much emphasis on coverage and trying to break up passes you don't see a lot of great tacklers out there. Even in the NFL you don't see a lot of good tackling corners.
2. Most teams are lucky if they have two good run stop linebackers, today's linebackers tend to either be pass coverage specialists or pass rush specialists
3. There is an inordinate emphasis on chasing the ball and trying to blow someone up on defense. Hard to break that mindset and stay home to deny the pitch when the QB is right there to be hit.

This guy gets it.

Well lets see here. One of those games involved a CUSA team facing a Sun Belt Team, and this one involved a former SBC member, and is getting national attention right now from what happened in it.

If you'd like, we could talk about FIU's bowl game this year. When is the Toilet Bowl played?

A former SB is playing on the Heart of Dallas bowl. Where's the thread for this game?

RE: Armed Forces Bowl
Fact is, we were effective in stopping the option. We held Navy to 24 points (they avg 33.5 per game) and repeatedly disrupted them in the backfield, causing multiple fumbles. They had 10 points going into the fourth quarter, when our offense gifted them the football multiple times. If you would have told me that we'd hold Navy to 24 before the game I'd say we would win easily. Our offensive production was pathetic.

As always, we appreciate your interest in MT and CUSA football.

I didn't see it (didn't watch I-Bowl or any other work time bowl either) but statistically looked like a fair outing.

Speaking of devotion. You along with many others here are very devoted to trashing other conferences. As if that will make your current conference any better. The fact that threads are only created when a CUSA team losses proves that.

03-lmfao Yeah, no one across the street would ever say a negative word about another conference, least of all the Belt.03-lmfao

BTW, you spend a lot of time here. What's up with that obsession?

Link to where I've trashed other conferences. You are liar (and probably smell of beef and cheese). In fact scan those CUSA bowl threads and look at my participation. If you are a mature adult I'll accept the apology when you post it.
