5. ECU upsets WVU

I LIKE the way you think.....

I'll try:

Big East
1. WVU beats UofL at PJCS by 10+ points - UofL's only BE loss.
2. WVU gets upset in one conference game (Pitt?) - and one OOC game
3. Rutgers goes bowling, beats unc-ch along the way
4. Brohm throws for 3000+ yards - despite suffering an injury that keeps him out of a game or two

National
1. Northwestern wins 7+ games riding emotion of RW's death
2. NC State finishes 6-6 at best (prob. 5-7), Amato on the HOT seat
3. USC loses 3+ games
4. Bobby Bowden announces retirement after FSU goes 8-5

Big East
1. UConn will be bowl-eligible, Pitt will not be bowl-eligible
2. A Big East team will not play in the national championship
3. 2 Big East teams will be in the Top 15, but no others in the top 25
4. 2 Big East players go to the Heisman ceremony, but neither wins (its probably a good thing considering the heisman curse)
5. Louisville will defeat Miami

Others:
1. Memphis beats UT or Ole Miss
2. FSU will repeat as ACC champ
3. UCF will win at least 1 of its 2 games against the Big East
4. In spite of having a solid team ECU will not finish with a winning season this year.
5. Meyer will pull Leak out at qb and replace him with Tebow. UF underperforms and FireMeyer.com is started.

BIG EAST
1. West Virginia won't stomp on the Cardinal Head at midfield.
2. No one will lose to a 1-AA school this season (to include, Army, Navy, MAC)
3. A new animated series will come out on TV called BEast Action League. It will have super heroes dressed up like all Big East mascots.
4. A team from the Big East will disappear in a snow drift that engulfs the Toronto Bowl. They will not re-imerge until summer when the snows melt.
5. Ron Howard, Steven Speilberg, Tim Burton and Quentin Terrantino collaborate on a movie based on expansion talk by fans within the Big East.

NCAA
1. At the last minute the NCAA sanctions a playoff for winless teams. That way a few will get some wins. The final game is called the Toilet Bowl.
2. In a bold move the NCAA decides that any mascot on the endangered species list, representing a human or human like entity, anything that breaths or photosynthesizes air, anything solid or liquid, or is organic and mineral, will no longer be allowed to be the mascots of schools. It is deamed offensive.
3. The NCAA moves it's HQ to France
4. The NCAA decides to make it's official mascot Snowy Leopard Rainbow Tree Indian.
5. Two BEast teams face each other in the National Championship.

UL Cardinals:

Because a couple of bozo sportwriters pick ND to win the NC or be in the top three in preseason magazines to sell copies, I am supposed to feel bad and think they "fall flat on their faces" if they win 10 games?

No thanks.

Charlie Weis made ND football fun again for Irish fans for the first time since Lou Holtz left. 9-3 was a very enjoyable season last year, with last second 3 point losses equalling two of their three losses and the ND offense being an exciting aerial show for the first time ....ever.

I hope to similarly enjoy the 2006 season.
