I get the argument, but I watch Russell Westbrook play 82 games and I see more heart than anyone in college (except maybe college era Russ). Hell, even a bum like Perkins gives it his all night in and night out.
That being said do NBA players take some plays or games off? Yes, but they play 82 games, all against the best players in the world. How many games do the Bearcats play against quality opponents? A cursory glance at their first 7 games shows NC Central, Campbell, Massachusetts Lowell, Kennesaw St and USC Upstate (whatever the F that is). And then we add in the fact that a team like the Bearcats usually has around 4 days off between games. In the NBA, teams get no more than 2 and often play back to backs. It's a lot easier to go 100% in college than in the NBA.
true, but they're supposed to be going to class also and deciding on which kegger to scope out. but like i said i like my teams and that's it. i really don't care to watch sports if my team isn't playing. being a bengals fan, i haven't watched a super bowl since 1989.
You haven't missed much. The Super Bowl has turned into a commercial loving circus. I tried watching the Super Bowl the last five years but stopped watching at halftime for all but the first Pats/Giants one.

Yeah I don't really watch it anymore. Obviously if the Giants are in it I watch, but otherwise I don't care. Plus, I find football a little boring.

NFL games can get REAL boring. The worst things that have ahppened are the never ending reviews and the commercials. Seriously, why do we need to go from score to commercial break to kickoff and back to another commercial break. Absurd.

New England Patriots fan since 1976. I'm from NYC, but I spent many years in New England (my favorite place in the U.S.). The Patriots have a very colorful history; no NFL franchise has had as many strange things happen to them as the Pats.
Texas Rangers fan since 1986. I grew up following the Mets, Cubs, and Yankees. But I attended one game in Texas and became a Rangers fan. There were no drunks in the stands (no cursing or fistfights). Quite a difference from up north. I could take my family to the game and not worry about an "incident" occurring.
I don't care about the NBA or NHL.

Followed the Browns since the late 70s and it has been brutal for most of the past 15 seasons. I grew up in Ohio and became a fan when the Browns were then known as the "Kardiac Kids" due to many come from behind/last minute wins. I remain a loyal, frustrated Browns fan.....can't wait for next year when our 20th different starting QB since the 1999 season is named.
Loyal Reds fan since the mid 70s when I started playing youth baseball and idolized Bench, Morgan, Rose and the Big Red Machine. I got to experience the 1990 World Series Championship celebration in downtown Cincinnati after the game 4 sweep of the A's. I'll never forget that moment.
Not a huge NBA fan but do track and root for the Cavs due to my Ohio roots.
Don't follow the NHL.
