It depends on the location.

I would imagine Marshall would sell out our allotment to the Liberty, Military, or BoB Bowls, or at least come close. HoD and NO would be a strong showing from a team going that significant of a distance. Hawaii Bowl probably would be close to 0. I'd say ECU would be about the same, with maybe the NO Bowl being moved up to the "near sellout" level.

Could be anywhere from 8-20k depending on location/opponent/season/interest.

If we got the Belk vs Duke I'd say look for at least 30k. Last year new orleans bowl was like maybe 8-10k LB something like 12-14k don't remember the military bowl. I'm sure it would easily sell out though.

Both Rice and NT would be deserving of the HOD bowl. However, I will be shocked if NT does not end up in the HOD bowl. In my opinion, the choice has already been made.

I could see 20k to 30k attending this game in Dallas from NT. If NT plays anywhere else, it will be a tiny fraction of that amount.

Aren't bowl games there to entice people in motel/hotels? Aren't you a hop-skip and a jump from Dallas? Why would they invite you? Not slamming just asking.

I went to two bowl games while a student at Marshall (Little Caesar's Bowl in 2009 and Beef O'Brady's Bowl in 2011.) Both were well attended by MU fans, since both were relatively inexpensive to travel to (Detroit is about 6 hours via car from Huntington, St. Pete/Tampa is a short flight from Tri-State Airport for pretty cheap [like ~$100 round trip.])

Quote:Rice wins:
Liberty-Rice
Military-Marshall
BoB-ECU
HoD-UNT
Hawaii-MT
NO-Tulane

I still think the Liberty / HoD will pull a swap/deal of some sort so that Rice is in the HOD bowl, win or lose. Whether or not that involves some extra shuffling with the Belk and BoB.

Liberty: Pulls a deal with the Belk to move ECU to the Belk, and an AAC team to the Liberty.
Miilitary: Marshall
Belk: East Carolina
HOD: Rice
BOB: FAU
Hawaii: UNT
New Orleans: Tulane
Compass: Middle Tennessee (AAC is short two teams to fill all their obligations, right?)

(although you could swap MTSU and UNT.. but birmingham would rather have MTSU IMO).

Unfortunately too many SEC teams to qualify prevents UTSA from getting out of their "transition" status.

I like that a lot.. maximizes the number of fans that each school could bring. It makes sense, so it will never happen.

Well we are still a CUSA team and we are talking about a CUSA bowl so ignore the topic if it bothers you.

I was actually just playing. I noticed a poster on the AAC board say the same thing.

Not wanted here and not wanted there...purgatory isn't fun. 04-chairshot

On a serious note you're still CUSA for a few more weeks. Here's to landing the best bowl possible and bringing home a trophy 04-cheers

That is a very good question.

I was thinking that it was more about attendance. But, you bring up a very good point. I doubt there would be many NT fans staying in Dallas, unless they were already there to celebrate New Years Eve. Rice may not bring as many fans. But, they will definitely fill more rooms.
