Yep. UL doesn't have to justify their reasoning. They get invited to bowls, they accept the one that best meets their own interests as they see them.
If we have an issue it is with the conference bowl selection/placement rules and not with what UL chooses to do within those rules. We would do no differently.
Hope you lose to USA and utterly destroy Tulane.
LOL!!! Well I hope you are wrong on the first....but I know USA will be licking their chops with UL starting a RS freshman at QB.
But no matter what happens we're not going to complain. We will play the hand we are dealt. It worked out for us the last two seasons.

I didn't see much complaining or looking to lay blame elsewhere last night after ULM beat us fair and square. Did you?
Having said that, there was another Belt game with a whole world of butt-hurt going on afterwards.

So much for ole' Karl doing his wheeling and dealing to get the conference in a better position for an extra spot. Screws MT out of Military last year when the offer was there for the taking and now stAte will likely have to sit after not getting the Cajuns to agree to Indy. Feel bad for the Belt.

It was mtsu that turned down the Military bowl early on bc the Liberty bowl was going to take the winner of the stAte v. mtsu game. You shoulda taken the invite.

I haven't had time to look, but I would imagine most of the whining has been related to our game with WKU....as that seems to be the hot topic as of late.
But you can bet when you guys lose a game on some 'controversial calls', your fans will complain.
Seriously, we've listened to you guys complain for YEARS over a freaking name.
Butt-hurt? You sound like a Muts fan. I have no 'butt-hurt' as you imply, and feel free to check my recent posts. I've said nothing negative about our loss or ULL....on here or the den.
A loss is a loss. We've been there before, and we'll be there again. I have my own opinions on things that happened last night, but it really doesn't matter today.

Conference office handles bowl negotiations. Look it up.
Don't want to make this about MT, but rather wanted to point out that Benson has done jack **** since taking over.

I wasn't singling you out for the butt-hurt comment, it was a general observation and an accurate one.
As for your closing statement, more fans should adopt your attitude.

UL-L Turned Down Independence Bowl?
We all cheer for what's best for our school. Wouldn't be a "fan" if we didn't.
This weekend I'll be cheering for UL since that is what's best for WKU. Nothing against USA. Records reversed I'd be cheering for USA.

I'm done supporting you clowns on your naming thing if you aren't going to reciprocate the respect. I've done my last UL and Louisiana.
So now we're clowns? I'm glad your true feelinigs have been exposed. I never did like all this support each other BS. We compete for the same conference championship and bowl games. I'm all for sportsmanship but I'm sick of all this brotherly love BS. I pull for whatever helps UL, period.
However you want it.
No one here gives a damn about what YOU think......you really think we should have pulled for stAte v. WKU when a stAte loss assures us a share???? You are completely off of your rocker.
I don't think you should have pulled for stAte vs. WKU in the game. But I know you should have supported stAte over WKU for a bowl slot.
And yes, nobody gives a damn what I think. And that's why I don't give a damn what you want to be called anymore.
I don't care who gets what bowl slot...you want better...don't get skull drug on your own field on a Tuesday night.....we don't owe you 1 damn thing as fans.....
