AFA has played wyoming & colorado state every year since 1957.

AFA has played those two schools more often than army & navy

Southern Miss has played Memphis more often than any of those, but it didn't keep the Tigers from moving on without them. It's irrelevant. USM has played Alabama almost as much as AFA has played Wyoming and CSU. Think Alabama is pushing for USM to the SEC? How often schools have played means nothing in realignment.

do you not get the point that they have played every year through AFA's existence as a d1 school?

Do you not get that USM played Memphis in the same manner? It's still not relevant to any possible realignment scenario involving those teams. You can continue to act like a petulant child, but it won't make your points any more valid.

im sorry but whats the point here? how do those to schools have anything to do with the csu-afa-wy trio

Nothing. You were apparently attempting to support the contention that one of them would not be left behind in a realignment scenario due to the longstanding relationships of the schools. I simply disagree and showed a single example of schools that had similar relationships and how that didn't prevent a school from doing what they determined was in their best interests. So my assertion is that if any one or two of the "csu-afa-wyo" trio were to be invited to join a conference that they considered to be a step up and that invitation precluded one or both of the others, they would not hesitate to take that leap and leave the other(s) behind. Any "loyalty" a school has had in past scheduling would mean nothing. Maybe you would prefer the Louisville-Cincinnati example. They have played for the Keg of Nails almost annually since the mid-60s and had played a number of games before that dating back to 1929. That didn't keep Louisville from accepting a bid to the ACC and they certainly didn't say to the ACC (or Big XII before that), "Oh I don't know if we can do this and leave Cincinnati behind." I'm sure there are even better examples of longstanding relationships that were upset by the realignment applecart, but those two came to mind first. The point is that no matter how many times Colorado State, Air Force and Wyoming have played one another, it has no bearing on their future conference affiliation.

no you just showed a terrible example that has no bearing whatsoever on wyoming afa & csu......

do you not realize how big of a difference there is between a school that was founded in 1954 compared to two schools founded in 1910 & 1912??????

do you not realize the huge demographic difference where CSU, afa, & wyoming where they are the only schools in that area and are pretty isolated meaning they are more inclined to stick together????

do you not realize that before their 16 year stint together in CUSA that these southern miss & memphis have never been in the same conference before?

do you not realize that memphis from an overall cultural perspective identifies more with cincy & louisville than with southern miss

you simply can not compare western schools to eastern schools like this

yeah you really dont have a clue here buddy.....

You really need to spend more time in your classes, especially those involving critical thinking. You can't can't continue to spout half-truths, incorrect statements, unsupported assertions and outright falsehoods and expect to be taken seriously, young man. I tried to help you understand a couple of things, but I have neither the time nor inclination to try to assist you further.

Arrogance and rudeness are training wheels on the bicycle of life -- for weak people who cannot keep their balance without them. (Quote by - Laura Teresa Marquez)

When men are most sure and arrogant, they are commonly the most mistaken, and have then given views to passion, without that proper deliberation and suspense which can alone secure them from the grossest absurdities (Quote by - David Hume)

Could they not play each other OOC? Just a thought.

They played 64 times since 1935 ending in 2012. In fact they played every year since 1952 with one expcetion in 1980. Conference affiliation didn't seem to be an issue.

In basketball I would tend to agree but conference realignment is driven by football not basketball.

Ok since your are limiting it to the western half of the country lets use Boise State and Idaho as an example. They played every year between 1971 and 2010. Bosie didn't hesitate to leave Idaho behind to move to the MWC.

Re-read the second quote and let it marinate a while. I won't be communicating with you again on this thread. Others may actually wish to discuss the topic. If you wish to communicate with me, there is a private message system in place. 04-cheers

well good because i have no further wish to discuss this topic with someone who is trying to act like 3 schools have no relationship when reality is they have a very strong relationship.
