RE: Said it before & I'll say it again, many Tiger fans are a large part of the problem
Call it what you want, I call it passion. The great ones rise above the crap. Memphis fans don't have a patent on the emotions that come from the ups and downs.
So the synopsis is it's our fault the team went to Stillwater and got drilled. I'll try to do a better job on game prep next week.

yep, the KU fans, without a dog in the fight, are able to recognize that were disorganized and don't run an offense, and that we are constantly overrated and don't beat anybody.
I'm sure it's because they love Cal so much they're saying such things.

You are correct- and team members have told me as much.
But remember, the bashers will only use that to bash some more- arguing the kids should ignore the malice and just play.
The level of malice and mocking of our own stuns them. They expect fan disappointment- but they do not expect fans to mock what they claim to support.
3-2-1 before just beat a ranked team gets chimed in...because as we know, not mocking colleeg kids means being pleased with being short of elite so far.
So how did that conversation get started? "Hoes does it make you feel..."

Yeah, blame the fans. Good luck with that.

Let's all go down into the basement had hope that when we peek our heads out at the end of the season we are national champs.
Let's do it!

Exactly. I was there. We sucked, big time. Of course, I mean the team, not the fan base. The only public ways to vent back then were at the game, or in the Editorial pages of the CA, which was extremely limited, of course.
Social media has changed the game, of course, but it's an issue for everybody, not just us. The coaches and players just have to figure out how to deal with it.
There are almost limitless outlets to vent anger, frustration, and disappointment now, which completely changes a fan's world from when Moe was coach. Also, I truly believe that in general, people have become less tolerant and respectful of each other and others' opinions; especially when they are behind a keyboard.

I don't know why but the U of M basketball team as a whole does not show any mental toughness at all and in big games they play scared. It is obvious.
I am not trying to troll. It just seems to be true.

While we have many "above average" guys on this year's squad (and again in the recent past), one challenge is that we haven't had a truly elite go-to scorer since the 08-09 season that can consistently get to the bucket at crunch time when the offense breaks down...Will Barton was almost that guy at times, but really couldn't get it done effectively vs. elite teams.

I don't think so. When you make $2.6 mil per year and have high level recruits you are expected to win. That's the bottom line. I've give josh into his 5th season to really begin judging him. It's time to **** to get off the pot. Excuses work for a year or two but were in year 5. It's very reasonable to expect more and hopefully we see the team improve throughout the year. I haven't given up but the people still acting like josh hasn't underperformed still have their heads in the sand.
Fredo did just that.

I'd pay money to watch that.
In related news, we used to connect a wire to the seat of people's cars on one end and the other to the distributor. That was funny when they hit the key. HAHAHA

Fredo did just that.
Whatever he did, he motivated and developed our guys into one of the best defensive teams in the nation. Whatever he did got us to 3 Elite 8's and overtime in the National Title game. He was doing something right.
You invalidate any argument you make when you compare Pastner or his coaching to K, Self, Roy Williams, Calipari, or any other coach who has actually accomplished something.
