It just isn't logical.
Pssst. The people who think he's the anti-christ aren't the ones who elected him twice.
And what would John Q's reaction have been if he'd been honest and said, "There's a pretty good chance your plan will change, whether you like it or not"?
Compare its chances of passing to, say, a snowball's in hell, if you please.
The one's that voted for him aren't the ones complaining.
Have you noticed his approval numbers of late?
Yes I have and I'm not surprised.
It's going to take some time for people to get used to this overhaul of our system.
I get that.
I still think that it will eventually be successful.
Good to know. Now, did the President of the United States lie through his ******* teeth, boldly and repeatedly, to the American people, or not?

Honestly I don't know that he did it deliberately. I honestly think that he just didn't know that the insurance companies were going to change their policies.

Then that makes him incompetent, because everybody else knew.

Policies change all the time. Raising or lowering a deductible was enough of a change to essentially make a plan insufficient in the government's eyes.
He had to know plans were going to be changed and people would be forced into Obamacare. If that wasn't the case then there wouldn't be enough young, healthy people entering the plan to offset the costs of the previously un-insurables entering Obamacare. The ONLY way this works is if a large number of people lose their current coverage and are forced into higher premiums and deductibles on Obamacare to pay for those that are subsidized. That being the case, how could he not know that policies were going to change? It was a bold faced lie intended to misinform individuals who were on the fence about the idea until it was too late for them to change their minds.
He lied on purpose. Reid and Pelosi back-doored this legislation probably not knowing as well as O did what the consequences would be for the American people who liked their plans and wanted to keep them. There is no excuse for it.

You keep saying this same thing over and over and over, I guess trying to convince yourself that's it's true?
You DO understand that the law required the insurance companies to change their policies, right? Is that clear enough? It was mandated by the very law that he signed that they HAD to be changed. You are aware of that, correct?
So how, then, could he not be aware they would change the policies?
If you can't give this a credible answer, then I'll assume you're just totally trolling. There was no confusion here, no sudden *SURPRISE!!!* it is part of the very fabric of the law. Plain and simple. black and white.

Some minor changes are inevitable every year due to economics, technology, and evolving demographics. The insurance companies already HAD changed their polices BEFORE the reguatlions saying that even minor changes could not be made were issued, and AFTER that Obama kept saying that if you liked your plan you could keep it. They had to get people off pre-existing policies, or else there would be not enough healthy people buying Obamacare "compliant" policies.
He is a lying SOB who knew exactly what he was doing.

If the public was deceived by the bill in any way then they aren't very smart.
That's not a very nice thing to say about the people who elected this clown twice.
So, it's the electorate's fault if he told them something patently untrue and they believed him?

That's because they aren't the ones paying for it. I think just about everyone that had their premiums doubled and their out-of-pocket skyrocket ARE COMPLAINING.
It's why Obumble is now trying to delay the implementation UNTIL AFTER THE MID-TERMS by allowing all those cancelled folks to keep their same insurance.
RE: Politico: Obama Had To Lie...Americans Couldn't Handle the Truth....
EVERYTHING is political for Obama. Even though he is not running for re-election he never has really cared about his party, just himself. When Dems up for re-election came to him to complain and ask for help, he knew that if this thing bombs and dems lose control of the Senate, HIS own agenda and ability to push it just got much harder, as in a death spiral.
Why do you think that the rollout was front loaded, with the 'good stuff' coming early and the 'hard to swallow' stuff coming after the 2010 and 2012 election? Had people (including Congress) told the truth about this before it was voted on, they know it would not have passed. Even with all the incessant lying, it barely passed.
The comeuppance for dems, who own this ACA fiasco lock, stock and barrel, will make the 2010 rout look sedate in the 2014 elections.
RE: Politico: Obama Had To Lie...Americans Couldn't Handle the Truth....
Obamacare is State's Evidence #1 that the Professional Pro-Discrimination Left cannot design an all encompassing liberal technocracy to govern Americans.
And thank you, thank you Huskie Jebus, for that reality...... I was not looking forward to welcoming our new petty fascist liberal overlords.

I believe it'll be successful.. Only after someone else takes it upon themselves to straighten it out and figure out how to make it work and be successful. We won't see it during this term..

Fit, how will a system than increases demand and decreases supply be successful?
What do you mean by "decreases supply" can you be more specific?
I think he's referring to less doctors to treat more patients. Or, doctor numbers staying the same while patients increase.
This is a potential problem. However, in theory, if more people have health care, they are more likely to prevent serious illness. Therefore, there will actually be less trips to the doctor. This has already proven to be the case in many countries.

Dude, the high deductibles and out of pocket costs will make regular routine checkups something a lot less people will do, so they might even go to the doctor less. You're asking me to subsidize the dangerous lifestyles of junkies, winos, hookers, gangbangers, etc, who, I'm absolutely certain, will all abide by the law and buy insurance.

VA49er was correct in clarifying my question. Your answer however makes no sense. Individuals who are on Medicare and Medicaid don't go in for regular check-ups as is. I'm not concerned with other counties and their homogenous populations. In this country where Prenatal care is paid for across the board there still exists an abnormal amount of deliveries from Mom's who've never visited the doctor.
I have also seen nothing that stipulates physicians have to accept the government exchange plans. I'm sure a large contingent of doctors will opt out of it just as they do Medicare and Medicaid. Will the gov't force doctors to accept these plans? I don't know, but it they do, doctors will leave in droves.
Besides, most 'health care' is contingent upon the individual making sound life decisions.
