I hope UT promotes this like crazy. Take it head on. Admit weekday games are tough but the fans are needed for a once in a rare time event. For the marbles baby!

I would love to see one of those pump up videos on local network. No words needed other than see you at the game.

Yeah, fifty five percent passing and frequent throws into the third row is exciting for all of us. Nice try, MD- he's thrown downfield OK for some big gains but between the drops and bad throws our passing game is a shadow of past years. Fortunately we have six RBs cuz we're down to using number five and six on the depth chart for about fifteen carries a game. Our D just gave up 41 points. In a HALF! 03-hissyfit If NIU doesn't win by six TDs they should drop football altogether like they have basketball. 05-stirthepot

In the past I just always felt comfortable he would make a mistake to cost Toledo the game, he really isn't making mistakes right now is he?

Can he as a senior keep this up?? It's time for Owens to make his mark in Rocket football history.

RE: TOLEDO vs. #15 niu
We can dink and dunk NIU like every smart team has done to us in the past three seasons. The only difference is our RB's can break em for 50+ too.

Getting stops in the redzone and special teams play will dictate the game.

I disagree. You'll need no turnovers and good tackling on Lynch. BSU would have beaten them if they make those two tackles on Lynch where they let him go and make plays.

NIU gives up lots of points.

Ball state would have won if they scored more.

I think you missed the fact NIU just kept a team that normally scores 40 to 27 and only gave up 3 2nd half points.

It may not seem like a big deal, but this will ultimately matter more than likely.

NIU - has Jordan Lynch
Toledo - does not have Jordan Lynch

Toledo - has Fluellen (and Hunt, and Russell, and Reedy)
NIU - does not

As T-Town states, the talent is there. The will and desire to win is the wildcard for Toledo.

You realize Lynch is as good as runner as both of them, correct?

BTW, Everyone here is missing the boat. It should be

Toledo has Terrance Owens
NIU does not.

Owens sucks against the Huskies.

Come on now, Toledo is fully capable of beating NIU (especially in Toledo), but you're really going to try to say having Fluellen (even if he was fully healthy, which he's not) and Hunt is equal to having Lynch? It's not.

Lynch put up 560 yards on Toledo by himself last year.

Lastly, NIU has as much talent as Toledo.

Anyone that disagrees hasn't watched the MAC for the past 4 seasons.

Toledo has Reedy- NIU has Lewis
Toledo has Fluellen - NIU has Lynch (plus he can throw)
The lines are comparable.

Two similar teams, I think it comes down to QB play, and Lynch makes Owens look like a high school talent.
