Are you kidding me?!?! Some NBA refs would've called that a travel.

Goodson standing flat-footed on the back side....not aggressive! And then the cheap foul....another Flash with two fouls and Jackson gets hammered.

When we swing the ball and stay patient, we look pretty damn good. I know some people love Goodson's game, but I hate him driving the lane trying to create. Just work within the system. Hopefully in the second half we will get some of the calls that have been going against us.

Keep grinding.

We showed some character staying in this one. We're going to need to keep up the 3 point shooting to steal this one. Honestly, I thought we out played Temple in the first half. The refs are keeping them in the game. 13 to 6 on fouls called. We'll see if they try to even that out a bit... but don't count on it.

13 fouls to 6 at half and most of the two-shot variety for Temple! Four Flashes with 2 fouls, Henny, Goodson, Spicer, Thomas. Wish I had a shot chart for points in the paint....we've made 7/13 3s while Temple has made 1/6 and we trail at half.

Yep.

My first look at the Flashes. Impressed at the depth-9 guys scored in the first half. Guard play is impressive- Jackson is the MAN. Would love to find some consistency in the post.

By the way I'm disappointed we missed out on Mark Williams, he looks like he will be a very fine player in the years to come and would of been great with Spicer.

We didn't really "miss" on Mark Williams. We pulled out. In a nutshell, I will just say he couldn't make up his mind, was sending mixed messages to a lot of people and the ship sailed without him.

Think I've seen more ball movement in the first half than I did in most games last year.

This team has great potential. Not much for discipline at this point in the season. Beginning to question the value of Ortiz. He really wants to play guard and at 6'-8" and he can not shoot. At least he is still young. I would love to see some old time Kent State defense. Just random thoughts.

Goodson needs to stop trying to do to much on offense and instead play better defense and get more aggressive on the boards. Kris Brewer needs to assert himself more into this game, at the break he only has 1 rebound, no fg's, no assists, and no steals.

Guards are working well with one another....when the ball goes inside is when we get into trouble. We don't have anybody to throw to on penetration either so we have to shoot the pullup J!

RE: Kent State @ Temple
The first four minutes of this half will be big. Coach Senderoff has to be frustrated with the discrepancy of the foul calls. But does he go after the obligatory technical early or can the Flashes play through it and keep it close?

The other question is will the Flashes run some offense through Jackson? He looks to have some nice game.

You're right, ticky tack calls on one end while our guys get hammered and nothing. I like how Spicer has grown in size and confidence; I think he's got even much more room for growth and development and will very good before he's done. I fully expected Ortiz to improve more than anybody else from last year to this one, but so far I'm not impressed.

Ernie Ziegler had a hand in that....wanting his son to be the star!

Totally agree with that....the sky's the limit with him, how high does he want to go?
