The Golden Flashes travel to Temple's Liacouras Center on Monday night to take on the Owls as part of ESPNs 24 Hours of College Basketball Tip Off event.
Temple defeated in-state rival Penn 78-73 to open the season on Saturday. Senior wing Dalton Pepper led the Owls with 19 points, junior guard Will Cummings scored 18 and 6'9 junior forward Anthony Lee had a double double (12 points, 12 boards) in the victory. Lee will surely give KSU's bigs all they can handle
Temple's ten man roster features two freshman, three sophomores, four juniors and only one senior. This is certainly not the same team that came to the MAC Center last season as only four major contributors return from the 2012-2013 squad. Many Temple fans are calling this a rebuilding year for the Owls in the "American Conference."
Can the Flashes find an edge under the basket with five returning post players? Are Kent State's guards ready to run with Temple's new look backcourt?
Kent State 73
Temple 66
*Brewer scores 21 and Spicer grabs 10 rebounds
