I thought if anyone on this board would enjoy that little nugget from the past it’d be you. The horn work on that song is perfect for the jam. By they way they were fronted by this hot little shittt. She was 4’11 of dynamite.

And here’s a much lesser known song by Bread. When I think back of Bread I pretty much think of their softer AM radio stuff. But I just recently heard this one and almost couldn’t believe it was them I was listening to. It’s worth a check out.

UC1992.....here's some down home ol' skool....

it's the beauty of the musak.....the ability to change gears and never spin out whether the tires are worn or the road is 'whet'....

sometimes, it's like only line 2 in my sig....it's like a slow constant rain that make the ears 'sang'....

Great cover of an old Rolling Stones song, "She's like a Rainbow", which can now be heard in two separate TV commercials; one for the 2018 Acura RDX, and another for the Joy by Dior commercial featuring Jennifer Lawrence.

Now here's the original version from 1967 by the Rolling Stones. Still my favorite.

Whoever thought this song would be used in two modern day, nationwide, TV commercials at the SAME TIME.

That's the alpha of popular music right there. There's something pure about it being so simple and yet full of emotion and feel. Here's another alpha blues tune by Son House...

I also like the White Stripes version...

"frogstomp" from Silverchair is one of my fave first album releases.....

quite Beatle-esque this one is.....

XACLY! my point....

he's went full blown whackjob with their success.....that's why silverchair went bust....

think about it....if you're 12 and write one of the best first releases and record at 15, you set yourself up for an arse reaming down the road if the trio doesn't have the guidance to flip the finga at corpshite 'murica.....

there just aren't many that can do that....

even AC/DC had their trials and tribs.....

again, it doesn't change their first release was epic.....and the fk'r can flat out play and sing balls....

Here is a touch of Latin that you might not expect. A Colombian group with a different kind of sound. It kind of reminds me of Django Reindhart with a little more pep and twist. Caution, you might fall in love with the lady in the red dress.

Monsieur Periné

"Nuestra Canción" "Sabor A Mi" "La Muerte"
