LSU has also lost to unranked Georgia and unranked Ole Miss. It's time for them to drop. They were already averaging 19.5 in the BCS computers.

You don't have to convince me, but the voters probably won't punish them for losing to Alabama and LSU gets a "recent history" credit, probably.

I like our system of just rooting against anybody above or near NIU in the rankings, just in case, haha.

Arizona first and goal....

After today, more than halfway through the big ten schedule, we have more wins in the BIG than ILL, Purdue and NW COMBINED. Man does that feel awesome to say. 02-13-banana

Kinda funny how the Miami BCS games from last year may be swapping partners for this year's bowl season. As much as I hate to say it, I'm coming to terms that even if we go undefeated, it doesn't look like we will be getting a BCS berth. Between Fresno pulling way ahead in the polls and UCF and Louisville putting rule of 16 pressure on us, not looking good.

Louisville is out of the equation after tonight, they are finished. UCF could be a problem but unless they are substantially ahead of NIU in tomorrow's BCS ( say like 0.05 or greater), they wont be able to stay ahead of NIU, they play no one. Fresno is the main obstacle and I understand your worry with that. Fresno sure had a yellowbrick road paved to the BCS this year.

Of course NIU is better, we haven't lost yet and LSU has 2 losses.

Since when is the best team always ranked higher? Sure, LSU would be a tough game for the HUSKIES but, they've lost 3 games (2 of them to unranked Georgia and Ole Miss). So, they won't be ranked ahead of NIU.

Um, isn't that the purpose of the polls? Based on your avoidance, I'm sure you think LSU is better. And they are still ranked 3 spots ahead of us in the coaches poll.

I can see how one would rank LSU above NIU at this point. But the toughest part of NIU's schedule is about to be underway.

If LSU ends up 8-4, and NIU is 13-0 beating BSU, Toledo, and Buffalo in MACC ... then one would have to be high to think it's fair to rank LSU over NIU.

"High" is a bit far, but there would certainly be a case for NIU over LSU. Let's pretend for a minute.........Even if all that happens, let's say NIU draws LSU in a bowl game. What would the spread be and who would win?
