They're playing a Top 5 team on the road. Those types of games can break badly no matter how good the team on the wrong end is.

Stanford lost to Utah... college football doesn't make sense sometimes

Also proves that going undefeated is really really hard

Ohhhhh....but according to the voters winning on the road is no big deal seeing as its all NIU does compared to Fresno's abundant home games cushion

Can Palmer and Pollack just stfu, good lord. Its hard to even watch a game that they are doing. Who gives a rat's behind if a player is smiling on the sideline.

They're terrible and seem to be worse than usual this year. I'm not sure they get along outside of the booth, they're constantly sniping at each other.

Palmer at least will on rare occasion make a good point, Pollack should not have a job in broadcasting, he is embarrassing. My heart goes out to anyone unemployed in broadcasting and having to watch that guy have a job.

But sorry Rece, Jesse, and David, your boys lost tonight.

Whoa not sure if anyone still watching, but I can see what UIHuskie was talking about, Pollack and Palmer look like they want to kill each other

RE: Week 11 Watch
So of the remaining games, as NIU fans we can hope for the following outcomes this week:

- Bama > LSU (Makes LSU a 3 loss team, likely drop behind us)
- Vols > Auburn (Drop Auburn behind us w/2 losses)
- Virginia Tech > Miami (Drop Miami behind us w/2 losses)
- Miss State > Texas A&M (Drop A&M behind us w/3 losses)
- Houston > UCF (Get UCF out of the picture)
- Arizona > UCLA (Makes UCLA a 3 loss team, adios)
- Wiscy > BYU ( I Think as this will weaken Boises SOS?)

and of course, WYOMING > Fresno!!! (No explanation needed)

Let's go!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 04-cheers

RE: Week 11 Watch
I can go back and forth on Houston vs. UCF... A UCF win gets them closer to us. But, on the other hand, a Houston win opens back up the door slightly for Louisville to win the AAC.

If Houston beats UCF and then Louisville beats Houston all 3 teams have one loss. I'm not sure then what the tiebreakers are. But I could see either Louisville or UCF passing us theoretically. It really all depends on how the voters rank us. I just noticed Louisville has a .000 computer average. LOL.

AAC tiebreaker:

http://www.courier-journal.com/article/2...310180064/
Quote:Two-way Tie

1. The winner of the head-to-head match-up will represent The American in the BCS.

2. If still tied, the highest-ranked team in the final BCS standings will be the BCS representative.

Three-way Tie

1. If one team defeated both other teams, then that team shall be the representative.

2. If still tied, and if two teams defeated the third team, the third team is eliminated. The remaining two teams revert to the two-team tie procedure.

3. If still tied, the highest-ranked team in the final BCS standings will be the BCS representative.

Basically, if Houston beats UCF, and Louisville then beats Houston, the tiebreaker would just go to the highest rated BCS team. Which is bad for us, unless Louisville drops its finale at Cincinnati, which I doubt. Houston also has to play Cincinnati though, so that may avoid the 3 way tie. I wouldn't want to count on that though, so I think I'd rather UCF win and maintain its head to head advantage over the team ahead of them in the BCS standings.

Ouch good post. Now I think I understand why Louisville is still being propped up in the polls. If UCF does beat Houston, you are going to see one astronomical UCF jump in the polls as the voters will realize UCF is their best chance to block the non-AQ.

I'd say BYU over Wisky to hopefully push them out of the top 25, or at least behind us.

Everyone should root for BYU....Wisconsin will move up quickly in the polls otherwise...easy schedule to end the year
