B-ball game
Anybody know where I can watch or listen to the b-ball game(besides the Convo)?

WLBK is currently playing the Huskie postgame(football). Really strange listening to it so long after the game.

Doesn't look like it is on anywhere. :(

Game was good! Granted a D3 school would be much of a normal challenge anyway. Threloff and Pete R. looked good. Dontel Highsmith looked amazing.

Hopefully having a few lively tall guys will make a difference. I'm not expecting much, but double digit wins shouldn't be crazy to ask for.

Whaaa. Hell must have frozen over!

Yes, the men beat Rockford 90-57, and the women beat Lewis 76-72.

The women led almost all game and it got too tight towards the end.

The men looked good and readily got the ball inside. We scored almost at will, but - like last year - missed several shots around the basket. Threloff looked fine as he scored 17. The bigs will help us a lot this year. However, just an exhibition game against an inferior opponent. But, I'll take any win, and this was a good one.

Two basketball and a football win in one day! Someone, please pinch me!

Bowie still can't make free throws. For a guy that goes to the line a lot that is frustrating. Pete R. needs to work on his shot around the basket and a little jump off the floor would help.

Yes, we did miss our share of FTs, but Highsmith has a nice FT touch. We moved the ball very well. I have some confidence in this team.

BTW, Rockford has a 6'10" 285 lb. center. He looks like a beast.

He was playing sumo with all of our big men. I'm surprised he didn't get fouled out.

I stand corrected, I knew he had 5 fouls but I forgot it's 5 fouls to foul out in college. 03-banghead

Things that stood out and bode well for season. Threloff and Rakocevic scored 28pts down low also Bowie and Maric added 16pts from mainly around the basket. Bowie shot bad from the line, but the rest of the team shot 76% from the line. The team also shot 53% from the field which is a lot better than past years. This years team is a solid 12-guys deep. The best two players Orris and Johnson probably will have to sit out.

I have a feeling Highsmith will show some nice stuff this year.
