This plant is closely related to the coffee plant. I didnt know THC was in the evergreen family. I could basically care less whether or not this **** is banned but I do like the option to use it in the case that I get injured. I will never have a pain pill prescribed to me again.

The Cannabis Sativa and Cannabis Indica plant is closely related to conifers - which are evergreens.

Regarding this Mitragyna Speciosa substance. Do you have any experience with it. I honestly have never heard of it. What does it do? I did a little reading that basically states it is a legal substance and has been used in Asia for thousands of years. Small doses act as a stimulant and pain killer. Large doses act like a sedative. Have you actually tried it?

Yeah. They sell it everywhere here. I would say it gives you a mild feeling of wellness and makes you a bit more talkative with definite pain killing qualities. Caffeine gives me a worse buzz than it and the best part is there is no come down with kratom. The powder itself tastes like drinking dirt so I guess that is one thing that keeps me from doing it much. Like anything if you go overboard I think it can have some withdrawl type effects/constipation. Overall it is a natural herb that is pretty harmless but by its very nature it is stepping all over the toes of the pharmaceutical industry. So I am guessing it will be banned. Id say go to your local shop and give it a try it truly cant hurt anything but your taste buds.

I see your political angle and agree with it. I am interested in what this stuff is. It sounds a lot like the Kava Kava you get at health food stores.

I'm not sure it's something I would want, but I am always interested in herbal alternatives to pharmaceuticals. I think there is a lot to the argument that the drug companies would rather keep us sick so they can sell us drugs to mask the disease.

Does it upset your stomach? I have a fear of vomiting.

Just the shear taste is what might get you, but no it doesnt upset your stomach in fact quite the contrary. For a bit more you can get the capsules and you dont have worry about the taste. I wouldnt steer you wrong. I would never try a designer drug or what not. I liked this b/c it is ground up root. If I ever break a leg this is what I will be taking.

Well, it's definitely interesting. I will keep reading about it.

To answer your initial question, as a social conservative, I don't have a problem with something as benign as this being legal. I honestly wouldn't mind pot being legal to grow yourself. What gets me is how legalization turns it into a sleazy industry - putting forth false information, flashy products centered around the drug, false claims about the chemicals they are pushing and making it more attractive and more accessible to kids.

I have heard some stoners say some really misleading and dumb things about pot. I see the pot stores out west pretending to be helping people, when in fact they are just encouraging more meaningless drug use.

Being a stoned nation is big reason we are living under the Obama regime.

As a non pot smoker I 100% agree. All this non sense about people needing permits for 50 plants to cure their anxiety. It is not a wonder drug it is just pot and it has a few medicinal qualities but that is it. I can see your fear with kids but at least being sold legally they will have to show an ID. On the streets where they get it now you can be any age.

Right, but all they need is one person with a card and he/she can resell to all their friends. My neighbor in AZ did just that. A short drive over to LA, one visit to this BS doctor, gets his card, buys four ounces for his "anxiety" and resells most of it - many bags going to kids under 18.

It's all BS. Make it legal to possess and grow - ban so called medical dispensaries. Let it remain in the shadows, just don't put people away because of it.

As it stands right now, it would be very unlikely for someone like you are me getting busted for smoking a joint back in the pines somewhere - but a high chance that four ounces leaving the dispensary is going right back out into the streets.

I feel ya man. I get just as pissed when I see folks around here get on disability and get high end pain pills only to turn around and sell them. Many people do this and kids get their hands on them and it is just wrong.

Say you might be able to give me a hand. So basically I work Mon-thursday @ 3pm for the state and after 3pm thursday I am off till monday. I really need to make some extra money but do not want to serve, sell anything illegal, or work retail. Is there any actual way to make money online? I am desperate lol

Well, there are many ways to make money online. If you want to make big money, it takes time and a lot of work. If you are looking for small fast payments, you will need to provide content. This could be article writing, tutoring, affiliate programs or even designing logos.

Here is what I recommend. Start off by providing content for sites like ehow BrightHub, Constant-Content. You are a smart and articulate. Sign up for all of those and start taking assignments.

We use Odesk to hire contractors to do stuff like link building. There are all sorts of jobs you can find on that site. One job may open the door for many others, so be patient and provide as much content as you can. It does add up.

If you are wanting to make big money, you will need to find a niche or special product or service to offer people. PM me if you need some pointers.

That's your best short term bet.

Regarding the Pharm companies. I am a strong believer that we can cure ourselves of many diseases through lifestyle changes and diet. I do believe that there is a huge industry profiting on people staying sick.

Exactly the pharm companies are one of the few places I want to see the academic over the capitalists. I knew you could help; I had looked into content providing but got caught up in the site I was trying to sign up for in the section that asked for my blog( basically a resume). I have no blogs just nonsense I spout off on message boards and collegiate papers. Would I need a blog for the sites you provided?

Opiate are bad news when you get hooked. They can really mess people up.

I doubt that. You will probably need to build an online resume. I'm not sure what site or what service you were signing up for, but I think you can just fill out a profile. I think the blog is optional. PM me the link you were tying to sign up for and I'll help you.

This substance seems to have some medicinal value...therefore...it will be banned.
