I would guess it would be tough to read the names if they were blue, and white numbers would be too bright for a blackout.

By the way while looking to see the history of the C-USA championship game here is the number of appearances:

Makes me feel even more sorry for USM's current situation. More than double the amount of conference championships than anyone else.

This is the first time I've seen MTSU play and I love the unis. The black with blue and the matte black helmets look great.
