Quote:One final tidbit...he said he asks prospective assistant coaches if they like golf...if they say yes, they're supposedly out because each round is 5 hours they can't recruit!

Orgeron said that too at Ole Miss.

And Meathead was a hell of a recruiter ---

I remember at one point King was ranked a Top 20 player, then he got a concussion and lost some playing time over the summer circuit. Kid is gonna be a player, the main knock on him is he always goes left, has to learn how to use that right hand.

And Meathead was a hell of a recruiter ---

--- of players who couldn't qualify. There's one huge difference.

If he rebounds like that in games, he'll be my favorite player too. How many times have I yelled: JUST GET A REBOUND, WOULD YA. (To answer my own question, probably every game I say.)

Also said Iverson and Nichols are going to be very good. Of course, this was after talking up the quartet of senior guards. Man, if those guards gel and are used right, that's going to be tough to stop.

He also mentioned having refs come in and call practices (I know, been mentioned already) to get the team used to the new rules...and those new rules are going to make our guards hard to deal with.

One final tidbit...he said he asks prospective assistant coaches if they like golf...if they say yes, they're supposedly out because each round is 5 hours they can't recruit!

I know, nothing earth shattering, just repeating some of his comments. At least he didn't say "Winning is hard"!

Looks like they're gelling pretty well. Now when PT is at stake and they have to play together on the court in a real game things could change. But right now, seems like "The Four Kings" are gelling just fine.
