At 4-3, UNT stands a good chance at making a bowl, but I really want the title.

RE: North Texas @ LaTech
Still have not played our best game with the talent I know we have.

We may need that 'best' game on Halloween Night at Apogee versus the Rice Owls, but we also know to never over-look any football program that is in their down cycle, too. And we are too familiar with down cycles at UNT.

We are still working on having a "good" team. A great team may not be attainable by any CUSA team this Fall because to me a great team would be ranked in a Top 25 poll and go to a bowl like the MAC's NIU did last year.

I really thought La Tech would put one of their epic come-backs together today, but luckily an interception deep in the 4'th quarter by Whitfield prevented that.

Nice, clean game, Dawgs, and a good Homecoming crowd, too. 04-cheers

2 wins in a row first time in 9 years! Is this heaven?!?!?03-lmfao

Believe someone said "As Dixon goes, so goes the Dawgs". Dixon had 25 yards on 12 carries.

How about the Mean Green defense. 04-bow In the past two games vs Middle Tennessee and La. Tech the D has give up a total of THREE points in the second half.. Zero in the third quarter and only 3 to Tech in the fourth.
Congrats to our Mean Green D.04-cheers

Apparently Skip Holtz just had extraordinary luck at UConn and ECU.

Just back from the game and yes, the Mean Green DL absolutely destroyed Tech's OL. Dixon never had a chance. They totally stuffed the run game and forced Tech to try to beat them throwing. Tech did get over 300 yards passing, but it was 5 yards at a time.

Congrats to UNT fans. Pretty good team ya got there.

Good luck the rest of the season Dawgs! I'm just hoping we don't drop the ball against USM next week, yet another homecoming game.

They can't help themselves. Kicking someone when they're down is what they do best. You'd think they'd know how it feels...but then again, most fan bases don't engage in that sort of thing so they may not.

I just hope we don't choke against Southern Miss next week. Kinda scared we'll go in overconfident.

We did. We travel very well. We're probably the best traveling fanbase in CUSA. We sold out our allotment for UH last year and came damn close for Tulane.

maybe you should work on traveling to your own stadium.

Anyways, good win UNT, you guys have a real good team.

Just got back home from the game. Tough to continue watching the crap Holtz is putting out there. Good turnout for homecoming, but many fans began to leave after watching that craptastic display. Stuck out with the family the whole way.

Anyway, UNT, y'all had a good showing today and a classy team. Seems like our players and yours had a lot of camaraderie before, during, and after the game. Looking forward to making the trip over to your stadium next year.

Congratulations to the Mean Green. You are clearly starting to distinguish yourselves in the West. You've got some tough games coming up, but at this point the USM and UTEP games give you a good chance to be bowl eligible. Still think you have some tough ones with Rice, Tulsa and UTSA ahead.

You guys have been fun to watch this season.

Congrats on the win. Stayed to the bitter end. Can we fire Holtz and Petterson already? 4 and 2 we through the ball behind the line if scrimmage. The play calling is terrible. I swear Tech plays to lose close. No fire from anyone but Dixon. Holtz is killing the competitive nature of our players.

NT D was very good at stopping the run. NT's O is rather boring but it worked. NT was more fired up to play and wanted to win it more. 3 big plays won the game. Good win for NT.
