W&M fans are saying JMU returned 200 tickets out of the 400 we were given. I'm surprised so many were returned.

Wow! we returned half of our W&M tickets? Usually that's a hard ticket to get ahold of. I guess most just bought them off of an online ticket broker. I have a hard time believing we will only have 200 folks there.

I bought three tickets this morning from JMU...hadn't been sent back yet.

Does anyone know if JMU band will be at the game? I've seen them there before.

Bill and the Wench fans on caazone are saying that they are not going to be there, and a few of them actually said that they wish the MRD were performing.

I bought my tickets through JMU on Monday morning. Stubhub at the time only had something like seven tickets listed starting at ~$70.

I've asked everyone I know from Richmond and Hampton Roads to go to the game (and buy my extra ticket) and have yet to get any takers. I'm hoping the turnout isn't that low.

Good to know! Saw some Tribe fans mention it on both CAAZone and AGS. Glad they're misinformed.

Also, a lot of people are like myself, you get better seating by going through other channels rather than the visiting ticket office. Many times I simply ask the home team ticket office to be seated in the section next to the JMU section but closer to mid-field. I cannot stand to be seated down low and at the 10 yard line or worse in some cases.

No. The MRDs are not welcome there anymore (admin) and W&M refuses to provide enough seating.

Really? I didn't know that. Was there ever an explanation for why? I know we used to make fun of their cute little band when I was in the MRDs, but I never thought we acted poorly.

They got really butt-hurt when our football team was stomping their faces in (particularly in 2004 & 2007) & the band was a scapegoat for how mad they were about losing all the time. Also, their frat boys got their noses broken by MRDs & the embarrassment level was too high.

No MRD at football games, is that an official W&M ruling from the administration? Or is that something we imposed for bad behavoir? I am assuming that the band did not "beat up" frat boys.

In 2005 (I think), the entire marching band traveled to Williamsburg for what proved to be the last time ever. I was in the trombone section. W&M & JMU were both having sub-par years where neither were in the playoffs. Both fanbases were still pretty juiced from the two meetings the previous season. After our postgame performance, we marched in formation back to the buses @ the W&M Hall lot. As we passed by Greek Row, I hear a clang behind me. Turns out, a frat kid had tossed a bottle into the section & hit one of my freshman in the head. Well, they hit the wrong freshman. He handed his instrument to another MRD, strolled up & clocked the dude in the nose. Lots of blood. In the end, nothing happened besides the frat kid getting his nose broken. What's he going to do, call the police & report that he got owned by a kid in the marching band?

This story is NOT hyperbole. There are multiple people on this board who can vouch for it.
