Richmond @ JMU predictions
Coach Rocco has turned Richmond into a heavy pass team and that is Mickey's kryptonite. Perhaps ol Mick throws some junk defenses at them with 2 or 3 lineman and lots of coverage. Maybe he plays base formations and blitzes a lot. Whatever the case, JMU will need sacks and some picks to win this game.
The Dukes need this one for playoff leverage, the Spiders are desperate and can't afford another loss. Should be a close one and the home field advantage will be the deciding factor.

RE: Richmond @ JMU predictions
we've had good success against pass-ONLY teams.
our record against New Hampshire is better than most.
we slowed down ODU in 2 games better than anyone else.
if UR abandons the run and takes the "guessing" out of the play calling, we'll be completely fine on D.

Rocco is an impressive game planner. At Liberty, he always had good plans against us, but didn't have the talent to pull it off.
With an extra week, I'm sure they have a great book on Birdsong and his tendencies...and we all know he has them. Also, Dan Brown is no longer a sleeper...he's not going to surprise anyone after coming out against Albany.
They will be hyper-prepared, and I don't know that we'll be as adequately prepared for them. Can we beat them? Certainly. Will we? Not feeling it..

Not that there's anything wrong with that...
I have a lot of faith in our defense. Probably too much.

I'm fearing no one will be fully prepared for this Hyper.
Rare form already and it's a sleepy Monday. I shudder at the prospects.

I know one thing - if we don't beat the Ticks this weekend, we will not be going to the playoffs this year.
that would make 1 playoff appearance in 5 years.

Possibility of a loss is very low. They are ticks. We are Dukes. Just read that again & tell me what you think will happen.

High scoring game. UR's defense is terrible. Our secondary is our weakness but we will not give up as many big plays like we did at Akron.
