Good part of picking late is getting to ride the crowd zeitgeist. Bad part is that, like the experience of the last one to bid in the contestant selection portion of The Price Is Right, all the good picks are taken. I will not pick one over the previous high bid, because the people who do that on that show are evidence the devil is real and walks among us.

You see an 83 point game when the o/u is 39.5? I hope you have a bookie or an offshore account.

RU lost to Maine by a touchdown, throwing three picks, and still held Maine to 28 points. This is the same Maine team that rolled over Delaware with over 600 yards of offense and 62 points. I don't guess I have to remind anyone that Delaware beat us. My point is the Ticks are pretty good on both sides of the ball. Their D held a VERY good Maine team to 122 yards rushing. Their strength, offensively, is an accurate passer and a couple of super receivers, Barnette and Edwards. Our weakness is pass D. I could see the Ticks blowing us out. We will have to be hitting on all cylinders to beat them.

Well, you know what you can do with your comparative score baloney.....

When was the last time you had your eyes checked?

As do I. They did light us up in the air as I feared, but our offense had its best game of the season.

Plus we had Kwe'Shawn Williams and Jordan Stanton back, which was nice to have.

Sure, go ahead, pile on, guys. My prediction was wrong, and I am very happy about that. I will still give my honest opinion every time.

GFY, wise ass! Did you read the last sentence of my post? We were "hitting on all cylinders." I'm very happy about that and hope it continues. I will still give my HONEST opinion every time instead of some homer bullsh!t. And "comparative score baloney" is like comparables in the real estate biz, and one of the best ways to compare teams and predict likely outcomes of games.

If you told that to a bookie, they would be positively salivating for your business.

RE: Richmond @ JMU predictions
I'm thoroughly familiar how lines are set and using a common opponent is only one component out of many. Georgia Southern beating Western Carolina 63-0 and Alabama doing the same does not make those teams equal in strength. Too many other variables go into a score's final margin.
