Government shut down who caves first?
At this point the republicans are going to be blamed regardless so it only makes sense that they hold out till they get something. My guess would be the pipeline b/c Obama is going to approve this anyway if hasnt already

I don't care is the government stays shut down for the rest of Obama's term. If something important pops up they will fund it. Otherwise, while the gov is shut down they can't do any more damage, people will learn to live without a park or monument and recall the days how life was so good before we ever heard of Obama.

So you want to crash the economy just because you don't like the AHA?

Crash with AHA or without it. I don't see much difference there.

They won't let it crash. And some economists say it won't be as bad as the alarmists make it sound. The president is supposed to lead; where is he?

Some ones been watching too much msm, but then again I forget that the children all suffered and died after sequestration so you may have a point.

Typical. You're completely fine with hundreds of thousands of employees out of work.

I rarely watch MSM. I tend to watch CSPAN and about 10-15 minutes of talk shows on my way to and from work(generally liberal on the way and Mark Levin on the way home). I don't get CNN, MSNBC or Fox.

They can apply for one of the millions of green jobs Obama created.

Your leader is killing jobs with his regulations and you have the ignorance to throw this at me?

Obama has to cave. He only has this term to cement his "legacy". He'll cave for that. Second term President's always cave.

Leave it shut down. Let the people see despite all the shouting all that discretionary spending doesn't get them much. Except those feeding by leeching off the tax payer.

If they're non-essential, heck yes I am. Who in their right mind would create and fill non-essential positions?

Absolutely. And I'd be even finer if probably half of them never went back to work. But a still better answer would have been for the determination of who's essential and who isn't could be made on some basis other than, "let's make this as painful as possible."

I noticed a spokesperson for a federal agency noting that emergency responders would not in some cases be available. So let me get this straight, the emergency responders are not essential, but the PR flack is? Yeah, right, sure.

This. Welcome to the real world of employment... that suffers when the organization they are employed by fails in its job.

Many of these positions support the essential. Apparently IT in many cases is non essential by definition. I hope Obama caves b/c I know it is only a matter of time before my job is effected by these idiots.
