Paying the minimum payment on the nation's credit card and still asking for credit line increases just can't go on. Time to draw the line and get something done. I use to worry what this would do to my Grandkids. Now I worry what it going to do to my kids.

redwing tommy was bragging that the US had a budget surplus for the past few months. That being the case, why isn't the debt being paid down? And if this is forecast to continue, what need is there to raise the ceiling?

You would think that both sides could get something done here. Yes, I agree EagleRock. This is a huge problem and if it holds like this it will make the govt. shutdown look like a trip to Disneyland. We have to get some sort of resolution here.

Both sides are guilty on this one. Is the next "bubble" the value of our dollar? Better buy some silver, gold, oil, water, food rations or really get crazy and buy some bitcoins so you can hire hitmen to keep you safe when the bottom falls out.
