The merciful and tolerant religion of peace comes to the aid of a gang rape victim.

A yet to be publiclly identified female gang rape victim was initially found guilty and sentenced to 90 lashes for violating the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's (KSA) rigid Islamic law on segregation of the sexes.

The Kingdom’s General Court determined the woman sat in an automobile with an old school chum to whom she was no blood relation, hence, she violated Islamic Sharia Law of gender segregation.

The victim’s lawyer Abdul Rahman al-Lahem had plead to the international community for help in freeing his client or at least pressuring the Saudi government to grant an appeal.

And an appeal he got -- along with an increase in sentence from 90 lashes to 200 along with a six month prison sentence tacked on for good measure.

The KSA Ministry of Justice implied the victim's sentence was increased because her lawyer had spoken out to the world’s news outlets.

Did all of the rapists get off seeing as the girls was clearly "asking" for it?

The short answer is, some people can and some people cannot. It depends on the age/health/strength of the victim. It depends also on the "skill" (if we may call it that) of the person (or persons) with the lash: how much force behind each blow, how much time between each blow, and the physical placement of each blow. A very gruesome and horrible subject, to be sure.

The middle east is a disgusting place.

I hope the World Cup (the first time a middle eastern country will actually be the centerpiece of something positive in the world in modern times) is a failure. News is already coming out about the horrible treatment workers there are receiving.

We already all know how terribly women are treated in the middle east, so this news out of Saudi Arabia shouldn't come as shocking to anyone.

Hate to say something like this, but seems the world should subjugate the Middle East and one by one weed out the idiots. Women do not seem to stand a chance in that region. Slavery.

And evil Israel, should give more of its land to these types.
