Well, on that front, if you control the ball, you limit your opponents' opportunities to score.

Assume he scores every time he has the ball. Keep the ball long enough to let him have two less possessions, and he scores less.

When we start conference play, I think we will see a lot of D-Train, and Jordan Howard. It will be like when we had Corey White, Dan Burks, Darrell Hackney, and Roddy White.

D-Train -Corey White
Jordan -Dan Burks
Brown -Hackney
Nelson -Roddy

Our yards are 58/42 passing/running.

I see exactly one problem with our offense: We're 11/40 in third down.

Offense ain't our problem.

True, but what some are saying, shifting to more of a power running game would keep the clock running, shorten the game, and help keep our sorry defense off the field. However, it probably wouldn't work in the real world........remember getting stuffed twice 3rd and 2....4th and 1, against NW State?
So...shorten the game and ugly it up to keep us in the game. Most fans hate Watson for that exact approach

We hated Watson because he mostly lost.

I don't hate Watson for losing. I hate Watson because he thought and acted like he was doing us a favor while he was losing.

I think UAB is going to punish teams with Reaves and Howard. I don't think the majority of CUSA defenses are very strong to begin with, but when you look at how well those 2 did against a defense like LSU, I think we can expect great things from them against CUSA defenses.
