And why don't we utilize the power run offense and keep our D off the field again?

We sure have the RB stable for it. I believe the OL line could pull it off too. 4 nice sized RB's (when Bashr gets back)........all of them have decent speed too. I would LOVE to utilize the power run more.

Another thing that I forgot to mention, we also have a stable of big, strong TE's that should be good run blockers-lol.

We're averaging 400 yards and 33 points a game. Our QBs have thrown 7 TDs and 1 interception.

Our yards are 58/42 passing/running.

I see exactly one problem with our offense: We're 11/40 in third down.

Offense ain't our problem.

True, but what some are saying, shifting to more of a power running game would keep the clock running, shorten the game, and help keep our sorry defense off the field. However, it probably wouldn't work in the real world........remember getting stuffed twice 3rd and 2....4th and 1, against NW State?

What's funny, he is currently 3rd in rushing on Louisville's team.

What's funny to me is that he (Dyer) hasn't been kicked off the team yet.

That could just be an indication of how lax of a testing program there is in place at Louisville. Any athletic department that kept Derrick Caracter eligible in one of it's programs can't be testing too many players very often.

I said at the time we didn't really need Dyer, and I think events have borne me out.

This is very true. Somebody on the main board posted NCAA rankings of all our teams, and the 3rd down conversion % was the one area on offense that we were terrible. Everything else was decent to good on the offensive side.

I do agree that I don't have much concern about our offense, I just think running the ball a little more might help our defense out. Who knows though, more rest may not do anything more than delay the inevitable with our defense.
