Once Ubiquiti was able to curtail all the counterfeiting of it's products, the stock really took off. Pera also said the FEF wifi is nearly a go according to an interview with a local writer.

'NBKay: Give it to me straight, Pera… will we ever REALLY have wifi at the forum? GrizzNation wants to tweet!

RJP: Yes, we have a team that has been stress-testing the deployment during the offseason. It will be officially supported at season start.'

Here's the whole interview with RJP:

Funny to look back on all the idiots who didn't think he had the money to buy the team. Some people don't understand how the market works I suppose.

I guess you are calling me an idiot.

If he has not sold any stock or issues dividends, he has $2 billion on paper but not $2 billion in cash. He was worth $2 billion two years ago until he was worth $400 million a year ago.

The dude won't have cash to run the Grizz out of pocket until he sells some stock.

I'd rather have in in stock that cash, anyway if I were him. I'd just have it in gold, silver, and mines.

Yeah! And Buffet's not rich either.

Warren Buffett has sold stock and received dividends. He also doesn't own a major league franchise in a small market.

Interesting to look at this thread after 5 years. Today Robert Pera is worth 5.8 billion and Ubiquiti stock is trading at $106 a share.

Over five years later, trading at $106 per share. Hope you held them.
