LSU - I know you're from Louisiana and the demographics in Louisiana are about 63% white and 32% African American, so anecdotally where you live 13% African American seems low - and you're correct. After working in an inner city ER for 4 years I'd say your guess is a bit too low.

My wife's old employer hired a lady for full time work with benefits. She took the job but quit like 2 weeks later because she was making too much money to qualify for her handouts.

And even by your overly conservative estimate, that is nearly 5 Million people abusing a program in which we all contribute. And I am sure that many in the other 90% know exactly who and how such fraud is being committed. Sounds like a great opportunity for the leeches to police themselves or find that their host is running out of blood.

So some would just let the kids starve?

This is one reason I liked the old old system of county homes.
Not crazy about placing kids in temporary homes. However the Obama administration

You realize how large of a number even 10% is?

Using this data Food Stamp Annual Survey, for 2012, that would be approximately. $7.8 BILLION in fraud, and that's just using the 10% figure. It could very well be more.

I understand where you're coming from, but have you seen Los Angeles? Bronx? Miami? Cleveland? Any big city has a higher percentage. And as someone pointed out the other day, all these "country" towns have far less people than the cities which is why more blacks are in prison.

The question should be...Why did the system allow her to have 6 kids she can not support in the first place? There is nothing we can do about her situation at this point but continue to support her sorry ass. It damn sure should be used as an example of what needs to change in the future.
