they had the best burger that i could remember having in bham.. good, friendly customer service too.. dive-ish but not too over the top.. i miss that place

They were claiming they couldn't pay the bills even though it had a line out the door every lunch. After they sold it, some new guy remodeled it and then skipped town a few months later, then it got bought out by the owners of the bar there now.

Bingo. Also kids figured out it's an easy way to disguise beer purchases by having your parents put Blazerbucks on your card and then go to CVS to buy a 12 pack.

To my knowledge it's just a bar now, and it's definitely a dive bar. I guess it's somewhat of a homage to the original Burly Earl.

It's an Irish Pub owned by two of the old bartenders from Bailey's Pub (which turned into Sipsey's, which turned into...an empty open-air patio). Lots of good live music there. Still has the same floor plan as the old place, just no food.

At Bama, our Subways only sell Bama cups at our Subways on campus. I can't believe they would sell Auburn/Bama cups at UAB. That's messed up. (Sorry for being late on this thread)

Actually, I was there today and a fellow student got an Auburn cup and said he was going to call corporate and complain lol
