Not good for the AAC, but....

well, nevermind. We're not in a position to look down on anyone in football. Remember last year we lost our opener to UT-Martin.

I didn't like our chances playing at UCONN but I feel alot better about them now.

On the positive side for us it helps keep UConn men's and women's teams in the AAC. Also, if UConn was ever an outside contender for Big 12 expansion it helps us appear a bit more 'viable' on that list.

If we lose to Duke by the same score, I still feel much better about our chances than I did two days ago. Although UConn has always been a game I thought we might win.

I think the difference here is that UConn appears to be on a downtrend --- they're being coached by UConn's version of Larry Porter.

Oh, not smack talk at all. I just think it is a winnable ballgame.

While I honestly belivee almost all of them are, that was one of the games at the start of te season that I thought we have a sligtly better than 50% chance.

it's one thing to lose to a DIAA team on a last second play, quite another to get blown the fug out.

The quality of the football team was never going to be the reason UConn got into the Big XII or ACC.

It's proximity to the NYC and Boston media markets.

...and even if it was, conference realignment decisions are not made on the basis of who wins or loses single games.
