What's wrong with falconplucker's perspective? Aside from having one of the best names on the board and a great Rocket fan, his comments seem pretty on target to me. I happen to agree that Ryan does a nice job.

Two things. He and Fowler were high school team mates, and so harmless smack is to be understood. He said he would not say what they were talking about, and that is a good idea.
I respect his moxy. He will get his yards, but his public statement on Florida not playing hard in the second half seems a bunch of crapola. Most people thought UF got better in the second half.
Oh well, we shall see. Maybe he is on to something.

Ok, this... Journalistic integrity was supposed to be commanded by vocabulary, grammar and punctuation. You could rely on the facts of the writer had researched the facts of the story. The writer had the trust of his readers because they knew what he or she had written was fact and not biased.

I can only assume you' re joking. Falcon plucker didn't write the story so your comment doesn't address your other comment about his perspective. Ryan's story hardly qualifies as great journalism- it's a sports story and even so there's no bias. He used an interesting angle about two rivals and how their games against a common opponent might compare. Hardly Pulitzer stuff but no reason for any Rocket fan to get worked up.

Reedy also revealed what he believes is the key to upsetting the No. 10 Gators.
"Late in the game they don’t go as hard as they do in the first and second quarters," he said. "I feel like if we can just keep the pressure on them we can eventually wear them down. They have depth, but they don’t have a lot of experience on their team."
Really? That comment seems completely 180 degrees out of phase. The Gators do not go hard in the second half?
Well, we are going to find out.

I was surprised to hear that comment as well...I'm sure he'll hear about it on the field from his buddy Fowler.
I believe the fourth quarter was their most productive over last year.

That is without a doubt true.
DR broke one of the new rules though...do not link a Blade article here.
But back to the topic...yes, I believe we are lucky to have him writing about the Rockets.

Thought, IMO, Reedy screwed up with that thought.
Seems as if he needs to step back a bit and relax.
This game will not be an easy one for our Rockets.
Lets show some respect to Fla., and see what we are made of.

Agree Reedy is wrong. Florida is a premier program. They didn't get there by taking the second half off.

RE: To Ryan Autullo
My opinions on 2 topics:
1) I have no problem with the coverage Ryan A. has provided of the Rockets, in any & all sports that he has written about. I DO have a problem with the "top" management of that newspaper permitting (maybe even requiring) what SHOULD be NEWS articles on front pages to instead become one-sided editorials. Really--it's now my fault that some person bought a dog license, didn't put it on the dog, then gave the dog away, and when the dog gets loose (again, my fault?) and the original--not current--owner shows up at the Dog Warden but can't "afford" to pay the fine for having a dog get loose & picked up? And we as a community are supposed to "pony up" to cover that fine instead? Personal Responsibility--maybe they should write a series of article about that topic instead.
2) I agree that Reedy's comment was odd...I am hoping that it is the Rockets who don't wilt & run out of gas in the 4th quarter. Hoping for a good game, and we'll start with that.

Hmmmm-given the depth of comment 1 you must be one of the rare folks who actually READS the Blade. Not sure to what this refers but you touched on a sore spot with me. If you own a dog, keep it on a friggin' leash when you're out and license the thing so it can be returned if it gets away. My dog has been attacked three times in the three months we've had it because idiots let their dogs off the leash to run around in the river and when we arrive their dogs can't be controlled. End of MY editorial. As for Number 2, the game is supposed to be fun. I'm not big on players running their mouths but it seems to be part of the experience and if it helps motivate him to back it up, OK. But he better back it up!

RE: To Ryan Autullo
Maybe Reedy was throwin it out there to get Florida's attention. We are the ones with nothing to lose. For gosh sakes Florida news thinks we are the mudhens. Enough bulletin board smack to go around for both teams is only fair? I like having swag and calling them out on playing full games.
Lets not forget The Miami game looms around the corner... Are we positive Florida is game planning solely for Toledo right now? To most UF fans, Miami is the first "game" on their schedule. Fans on their board think this would be the biggest upset in UF/SEC history... Most predictions in the 45-10 range or worse.
Toledo will be full throttle, UF is trying to get to Miami 1-0.
My rant has Nothing to do with Ryan..

I too think that Ryan has done a good job. It's apparent that the Blade limits what they want put out, but for what he's given he seems to make the most of it.
