Whit Babcock @WhitBabcock 21m
Even though series is a long way off, look for exciting FB home & home scheduling announcement soon. Have played them one time previously

Based on no evidence whatsoever, im gonna go ahead and guess its Wisconsin. Until we find out, who do you think itll be?
Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, and Oklahoma were the first schools that I thought of. Hopefully we can keep the Louisville series too.
Speaking of scheduling, I keep wondering when the non-conference schedule for basketball will be finalized.

RE: Unknown Future Football Series
Here is the list of power conference schools we have only played once in football:
Colorado
Duke
Iowa
LSU
Nebraska
Notre Dame
Texas A&M
Texas Tech
Washington
Of course, Whit does not say we are playing a team from a power conference-- only that it is an exciting announcement.
If it is a power conferenc foe, my money would be on Colorado, Nebraska or Iowa. Texas Tech could be a possibility as well, but IIRC Whit turned down an offer to play them earlier this year.

Did a little searching, so far our options are Iowa, Colorado, Notre Dame, San Diego State, Air Force, Nebraska, and Texas A&M.
EDIT: Ahh, beat me to it CliftonAve. Looks like I didnt even grab them all, thats what I get for skimming through the list.

RE: Unknown Future Football Series
Scratch that. If we're taking Babcock literally, Cincinnati has played the following teams exactly once:
- Air Force
- Ball State
- Central Michigan
- Colorado
- Duke
- Eastern Michigan
- Illinois (Although UC is playing them this year)
- Iowa
- LSU
- Middle Tennessee State
- Nebraska
- Nevada
- Notre Dame
- Purdue (See Illinois)
- Rice
- San Diego State
- Texas A&M
- Texas Tech
- Washington
Edit: Whoops! Everybody else beat me to it!

We already had a home and home scheduled with Air Force for 2015 and 2017 (although the rumors were they was canceled). I would be disappointed if this was announced.
We also have a return game for San Diego State announced for 2016. Again I will be disappointed if this is the announcement.

If it was from a power 5 conference I don't want it to be Duke or Colorado...

Colorado is still a better brand name than Duke but they are going through an awful run. Wouldn't mind them at Nippert because I would love to see another PAC-12 school come here.

My money is on Nebraska. Recently signed a basketball series with them. Pelini would love another game in Ohio. Could possibly be a good replacement game for the 2014 schedule at PBS.

seems to be the on line choice as favorite at this point . Looks like they have some spots in the 2017-2020+ time frame

Nebraska was my thought as well from that list.

I could also see them wanting to upgrade one of those earlier schedules as well with the new playoff.

RE: Unknown Future Football Series
I'm sure they have a different idea of what "exciting" means but in my mind it means high level power conference team. The teams I'd count on that list would be Notre Dame, LSU, Texas AM, Nebraska, and Washington. SEC schools usually don't schedule non conference home and homes with decent teams, ND and Nebraska have no need for another midwestern home and home. If it comes from this list that leaves Washington. Athletic directors call everything exciting though so theres no guarantee its even a power conference team.
Can't wait for Middle Tennessee State!
EDIT: After reading everyone's rationale on Nebraska that would be my thought also.

I concur for the exact reasons you mention.
We'd likely draw a crowd at PBS similar to what we did against Oklahoma (58K)--- possibly more depending on how we do this year and thereafter.

Just realized he said it is a long way off, so I would say that kills the idea of a game at PBS next year.

I understand what you mean by your comment about SEC schools but LSU has been an exception. LSU has in the last few years has played WVU and Washingotn home and home.
Nebraska certainly wants to play in this area. Their head coach is an Ohio native and he likes to recruit here. His ties are primarily in Northeast Ohio and I am sure he wants to develop further relationships in this part of the state.
