Obama attacks Kentucky's coal industry
With recent presidential orders, the Obama administration will begin to put restrictions on coal burning furnaces across the county. (IT"S ABOUT D - - - TIME!!!). This nasty industry will be put to the test in the near future. It also doesn't hurt that two of President Obama's largest opponents are Senator Mitch McConnell and Randy, Senator Rand Paul. It's also good for me personally. I have some decent investments in the natural gas industry most importantly the company for which my son works. This company is a huge natural gas explorer and producer. I'm certain the announcement will help those investments.

Looks as if you might want to invest in coal. It is not going away.

Coal isn't going away anytime soon. The Coke Plant in Monessen PA is set to reopen later this year or early next year, and two other local plants here in Pittsburgh are putting billions into their plants for new batteries.

The focus needs to be on burning the stuff cleaner..not destroying an industry. Forcing the industry to sell coal overseas is the worst thing to do for the environment.

Didn't Obama before he even ran for president say something like if he had his way electricity would
be 8 times higher than it is?

West By-God Virginia won't like this either.

I want Mach to get on here and tell us how great this is for the everyday workingman.

But in the end, if this pits the unions against the pseudo-environmentalists, that will be great fun watching the left tear each other apart.

Saw on the news awhile ago where GM is planning on building some major auto plants in Mexico to take advantage of the low wages. Said they would build them in non-union forced states, right to work, like North Carolina, but like Boeing building in South Carolina, would probably have a really hard time building there with the administrations weird policies. Thanks Obama....losing more jobs everyday because of your stupidity.

This energy attack on coal might also have something to do with GM building heavily in Mexico.
These auto factories use a lot of electricity. If energy prices go way up would be a huge hit on their profits.
Thanks Obama.

So lets get this straight.... You are OK, even giddy, with something that will hurt the poor in the US more than the rich in the US while doing nothing about world wide CO2 emissions because:

1 - It hurts people in states Obama does not like
2 - You personally have investments that will make you money

Bull,

Coal is a conundrum. It is wise to support a move from an 18th century fuel that is hard on the environment but I see the downside.

Coal has been abused. You just have to go to downtown Edinburgh, Scotland, and look at the coal tar stained buildings.
It's what we have the most of. It is cost efficient for us. Sure do not want to depend on Saudi Arabia and like countries
anymore than we need to.

Tell that to the children that would go hungry, Robs.

You guys ever notice that Vewb1 normally comes on here and spews some leftwing horsecrap, then disappears and rarely if ever tries to defend his stuff. He leaves the Roberts' of the board to defend his junk.

Maybe he realizes he's too stupid to actually coherently defend his left wing talking points - obviously, Robert does not.
