It's the only way that Interpol can keep up with the whereabouts of known hooligans, and I'm not talking about the teams, just the fans.

Because NOTHING like that happens in other sports here, right?

TV is ok. Noone watches it when its on.

Incorrect. Soccer is going to become bigger and bigger whether people like it or not because so many kids have played it in the last decade. Already starting next year all of the EPL games iwll be broadcast in the US, and even all of Mexico's National Team games and some league games are shown now. The US national team games have been getting big ratings. Soccer is growing in popularity because it's such an easy sport to get your kids involved in.

They have been saying this since the mid 70's. Simply isn't going to happen.

RE: Ban soccer, seriously???
People in this country want to see some goals scored every now and then. I don't see soccer ever catching on to the extent of any of the current major sports in the US. It's one thing to watch your kid play, it's another to travel and pay a bunch of money to see a game.

Yes, it is slower than four corner basketball a shot clock in basketball. However, baseball can be almost as slow as soccer at times.

SI just asked about the slow pace of baseball games. And I love baseball too (my Dodgers WILL come back!)

The USGA is trying to speed up play in golf too. Did you see their latest commercial on that effort?

If he was in the Bay Area, maybe. There was a shooting at a Little League game in Vallejo this year.

Sad, I do not even remember any scores from the youth games. I do remember some kids building and improving their character, however. And kids having fun and building character is what it should be about. 07-coffee3
