Flight got diverted to Charlotte. I hope we can get in before the delayed start.

I can't say that I am sorry to see this. An extra day can only help our pitchers. I always thought it was unfair that the winners of the last two Regionals to be played on Monday were both slated to play on Friday this week.

Will send updated ESPN broadcast plans as soon as they are finalized

Also, UNC vs South Carolina have been moved to Saturday noon (Eastern)

Before any changes to the ESPN schedule, at 7PM EDT...

ESPN: NCAA Baseball (LSU/OU)
ESPN News: SportsCenter
ESPNU: College Track & Field
ESPN2: NCAA Baseball (UCLA/Cal St. Fullerton).

Lets hope that if the game can be played at 7PM EDT, that it will be moved to ESPN News.

Also, at least with DirecTV, U-verse, DISH, and Comcast (when I subscribed), there were alternate ESPN channels used for "out of market" games with the College Football subscription package or for when games went longer than scheduled.

Maybe the game can be broadcast on one of the alternates?

Extended Forecast shows significant chance of rain all night, ending around noon. Meaning that outfield will basically will be torn all apart after one game.

Will mean one less day of rest before CWS. Our SR winner will be playing on the first day I am pretty sure. Also one day delay for some in trying to find flights and accommodations in Omaha.

Saturday at 3 then. If then. I suppose we all just have to wait. I feel bad for everybody attending who just got their travel plans complicated. Mother Nature rules.

We'll just have to win this thing is the first two games. It stinks that the timing of Monday's "if necessary" game will not be determined until after Game 2. Means those of us here in Raleigh will not be able to arrange for the possible extra day (and change airfare) until late Sunday...and it may already be too late to change flights.

The Tropical Storm has flight schedules screwed up all along the East Coast. It shouldn't be too hard to reschedule a flight with no change fees.

Unless your outbound was impacted by weather, it is unlikely that they will let you change for free (assuming the weather clears up by the return). At least, in my experience.

This is not the case in my experience. Generally there's a weather waiver issued allowing for fee-free changes of flights within 2-3 days of the storm in the affected area. The reason to allow it is that they'll still be trying to clear their backlog of people whose flights are cxled. Check the airline's twitter feed to see if they've issued a waiver. That said, if you want to take advantage, do so now, don't wait until later.

It doesn't hurt to be a member of the airline's frequent flyer program either.

Not quite. The teams originally scheduled to start the super regional round on Saturday were also slated to play first round games in Omaha a day later.

This. What we are in the same boat for is that Raleigh and Chapel Hill winners are paired up on the first day of Omaha.

Fair enough. Haven't seen a weather waiver issued yet.

And yes, as WMD says - being a elite member of the FF program helps a lot.

But that's the catch, you really don't want to make the change now, since if the series is over in 2 games, we could still return Monday morning. Look, not that big of a deal-- if we require a 3rd game, we just eat the $150 change fee and try to get as early a flight on Tuesday as available. BTW, I think Rice parents, alumni and fans are taking up at least 50% of the hotel (Wingate by Wyndham). Too bad the NCAA had booked the team in the Embassy Suites that had no other rooms available (beyond the team) on Friday night.
