:facepalm: Just because someone is a backup at a P5 school doesn't mean they are automatically better than every player at a Go5 school - I thought that everyone here knew that, since that is a stereotype that all Go5 schools face. Do I even need to point out who was the #1 OVERALL pick in the NFL draft this year? Or what about Green Bay Packers OL TJ Lang? He was drafted in the 4th round by the Packers, after going 12-35 in his 4 years at EMU! So, yea, there are times when I would prefer a Buffalo QB over an 0$U backup, or a WMU WR over a U$C backup.

Definitely....ran a similar offense in HS. I learned last night that Ely's family lives about 2 blocks from me. Looks like I'll have some neighbors to watch the games with

Now I see what his dad meant when he said he used to run a lot, LOL! Hopefully the pocket doesn't break down on him as much behind our OL. Thanks for posting the video.

Spoke with an assistant coach at Plant HS today and he said Ely was back recently working out at the school. He watched him throw and said he looked great. It sounds like Ely is really excited about the opportunity to play at UT. The coach was surprised by the UT annoncement...he had a lot of other opportunities besides those being reported.... Ill, USF and Vandy.

He commented on Ely's intelligence...said it was like having a coach on the field. Apparently , the QB's at Plant spend their lunches with the HC learning how to break down film, run the offense, etc...I'm sure he picked up a lot at Bamako as well. It will be nice to have his experience at the QB position after TO leaves.
