Actually I like it. Its not as busy as the old one. Its not earth shattering but will do I think. I am looking forward to getting the first trophy with it on it this fall after football season!

Overall, I'm a bit disappointed in the result but not enough to complain. In time the beach ball will grow on us.

Front office probably lost track of who's in and who's out. A round dozen sounded good.

Not bad. Wish the logo stood up on its on and did need the name written under it to know what it is. Be intersting to know the logic behind the desgin. I guess the blue represents the two non football and two football only schools. Guess that won't be changing.

I'm not overly impressed and IMO, do not see any improvement over the old one. It is what it is and I won't grumble.

RE: In 24 hours.....
In typical SBC fashion, you go to their website and the old logo is still there. They do have a new article about the new one, but when you click on it, it says "no article found".

As for the logo itself, not sure why they wouldn't incorporate the sun somehow....unless the beach ball is an abstract sun.

RE: In 24 hours.....
Moving from an alright logo to a mediocre-alright logo is a waste of resources IMO. Why spend the advertising and time trying to promote a logo that is no better than the previous one?

RE: In 24 hours.....
I'm sure it is an abstract sun. This is the new age of logos where everything is minimalist and vague. I'm sure some graphic designer will win an award for this thing, but it does not hold up on it's own. To the average person, it could look like the logo for anything. Nothing about it is clearly recognizable as a sun or even sports related.

Maybe, it'll grow on you in time. I'd stay away of tattoo parlors.

Beach umbrella, lollipop, donut, sphincter, beach ball... sun?

That thing could be anything, how is some generic "logo" that can be interpreted as anything not terrible? At least the old one made sense. Very underwhelming.
