I'm sorry, but you can't be more wrong. The logo will be the first thing most people see in regards to the conference. Making it a big deal is about saying "Hey, this conference is a big deal" and that is sort of important in rebranding the conference from "absolute worst in FBS" to make it match the on field performance the last few seasons.

It is a big deal, and I hope they do a press conference, talk about the changes to the Sun Belt, and such. Really play up the logo.

Plus its the offseason. Much more interesting then NOTHING.

I agree, I'm completely on board the "new logo being exciting" train.

We need to generate some excitement for this conference... and the current logo is VERY outdated.

If you go to the SBC site there is a different logo up. I have never seen it before.

I don't HATE it, per se... It's just underwhelming. I would have preferred they try something with the letters of the conference (much like... you know... EVERYONE ELSE) Rather than a symbol with the words below it.

To be honest, I liked the old one better. But, much like our own name change, if they put money into getting the logo out, then it'll turn out to be net positive for the conference.

It's not completely terrible...I was just expecting more
