Norte is Spanish for north. Dame is an archaic french word for woman. So I suppose Norte Dame is a French woman who lives in the north of Spain?

We should be allowed to neg-rep this post, because "all the titles" is clearly an incorrect phrase and this thread is only intended to stir the pot

You may not like this post, but is true, and their is no way that Notre Dame, Syracuse and Louisville has not dominated the Big East in the 2012-2013 season. 07-coffee3

That's very nice, but no school was more importatnt to the Big East than UConn.

There is no Big East anymore.

This thread wasn't really needed here. That said, these blunt one-liners you often post regarding UConn aren't absolute no-debate "facts". Were UConn's contributions vital? Sure. More important than others without debate? No way.

The OP was not classy, and I was just adding a little perspective.

I don't want to post a list of UConn's accomplishments to support my argument because no one on this board wants to see it.
