For the Georgia Southern and App State fans (ODU fans, as well... they just aren't on here), it's a really cool thing to not have to build your team from scratch.

I got to experience it last year, and now this year, I get to see Bobcat Stadium in all it's glory digitally rendered.

I'm actually a little surprised EA hasn't bothered with an FCS version of this game. I mean, I'm no programmer, but it seems like it shouldn't be much to code in different conferences and team names in, then be done with it. Use generic stadiums at first, then add the little things one conference at a time (stadium, etc).

I just figured it would be an easy fix, and they can get access to a whole other group, possibly.

I always thought adding the entire FCS with playoffs and the ability to switch subdivisions would make a great DLC opportunity to suck some more cash out of people.

Playoff feature for an online dynasty would have kept me interested. Most of the time bowl season was just Hu vs CPU. no fun in that.

EA by way of apology went to a game, recorded thier cheers, and fight song, and was going to put thier mascot in the next version. That kind of treatment is usually reserved for Ohio state and the other "Big Programs"

http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/...abama.html

In a letter EA Sports sent to South Alabama, the company assured school officials it was "going to go above and beyond what we typically do for a new FBS school.'' The letter stated the company would give the Jags the type of treatment that is normally reserved "for the biggest and highest profile teams in the country.''

Here is a list of extra the company plans for South Alabama's inclusion in next year's game:

1. During one of the games this upcoming year, EA Sports will videotape the team and cheerleader run-out onto the field at the start of a game so that we can try and replicate the run out and make it as realistic as possible.

2. EA Sports will perform a crowd recording of a South Alabama game this year and use that recording to replicate the stadium sound effects and crowd chants in the game.

3. EA Sports also wants to work closely with the South Alabama athletic department in developing the South Alabama team introductions that ESPN announcers Brad Nessler, Rece Davis and Kirk Herbstreit will talk about at the start of each game.

4. EA Sports will be adding the South Alabama mascot "South Paw" into the game so South Paw will be on the sidelines during games and also be included in the "Mascot Mash-Up" game mode.

5. EA Sports wants to meet with the South Alabama football coaches to replicate the South Alabama playbook and make it as realistic as possible to what the team uses during the 2014 season.

6. EA SPORTS is already looking into licensing the rights to use Ladd Peebles Stadium so EA can perform a "Stadium Scan" of the stadium and get the most authentic South Alabama stadium possible into the 2014 NCAA Football game.

Yeah.... FAU still sucks in my dynasty with them. 4 seasons and only 1 BCS bowl game.... that I lost.
Granted, I created 2 super conferences (SEC and SBC) with the South's best and my most favorite programs.
For example...
SBC: FAU, USF, FSU, GaTech, Clemson, UNC, ECU, UVa, WVU, WKU, Tenn, Bama, Miss St, USM, LSU, and Arkansas
SEC: UM, UCF, UF, UGa, USC, NCst, VaTech, UK, MTSU, Memphis, UAB, ULL, LaTech, A-State, Ole Miss, and USM.

Either way, excited to have GaSt, TxSt, and USA in this new one.

Based on what EA Sports has for their screengrab, GSU has the old blue uniforms still.

Am I reading it correctly that EA will update uniforms to account for changes? If we are playing in dark gray, I'd like to have us in, you know, dark gray.

I'm curious as to why odu is being added as an Fcs transitional team in 2013, while tx state, USA and ga state had to wait until they were in their second transition year to get in.
If that's the case, they better haul ass and add app and ga southern while they're at it.
Don't forget Charlotte. I know they don't exist yet, but just make believe.

I have the NCAA Football 12 game (didn't bother to buy last year's version). I chose a school that had an fcs team scheduled in their 2011 season. I played UVA who had William & Mary in their first game of the season.
The game has me playing a generic fcs team called "FCS East Rhinos".
Basically, 7 of odu's 12 games will be played against generic fcs computer opponents and not real teams.
The Rhinos are wearing all white and white helmets with a blue trim. No symbol, nothing.
Sounds like it's worth 60 bucks!

If there was a way to edit the dynasty schedule and place user created fcs teams into it, that would be worth it. I doubt there is that functionality though.

Would be cool to get some groups going on here. Sign up to represent your team, once the conference fills out, get another group going.

Lulz I wonder why.
