I suggest that China exercise "Executive Action" before "Lil Kim" does something stupid.

Because if he makes a launch on a SE Trajectory, and some stage of the missile lands on Japan, the JSDF will retaliate and launch something into the DPRK who will then launch on the RoK, who will then retaliate.

And the US gets involved about 5 minutes later, when something from the DPRK lands on a US base or deployed unit.

The "End Game" is bad news for China, because they will have, as worse case scenario, hundreds of thousands of DPRK refugees across their border and US and RoK military units right on the Yalu.

Instead China might preemptively take out "Lil Kim" and end up with a UN recognized Protectorate like we had in Iraq, letting the PRC spend the money and political capital rebuilding a 5th World state.
