If my school only won one game last season then i'd be all bent out of shape about sharing a label with a winning team too.

Since i'm an Eagle, I'm fine with being called GSU, GS, GASO.

State can worry about acronyms, we will worry about actually winning.

Anyway, as far as the original context of this thread goes, I've actually always used "Southern" in conversation to refer to the school. Most of the people that I speak with on sports use that as well..."How's Southern looking this year?" That type of thing...
