Wait a dang minute... I thought Reedy was headed to the NFL... or was I just very drunk and hallucinated that?

Yes, you were drunk and hallucinated that. He, along with Flu, submitted papers to the NFL Draft Advisory Committee (or whatever it is called) to see what their draft chances were, since it doesn't hurt to do that.

Thanks New Mex!!!

So, now I can really get excited it seems like we are going to have a wonderful Offense this year... and it doesn't seem like the defense is going to be too bad, even with the loss of those 8 starters... I liked the fact that Campbell was rotating all the players...

RE: Bernard Reedy
THe depth on the defense was apparent to me in the Military Bowl when both DTs went out on the same play. With young backups, the defense didn't miss a beat. Coach Campbell carried this rotation throughout last year boding well for 2013 on both sides of the ball.

You can also plan tying a really big one on next year, no hallucinating. We lose a lot of skill position after next season.

Yeah... I originally thought that... but, if the 6'6" QB is any good... that will be a huge advantage... and with the recruiting going as well as it has... then, we should be able to take that hit and keep on moving... I will be very interested in the Florida game, as I will be in the stadium.. do I dare dream of an upset?

Yeah, since Page went early, the press decided to make a big deal out of every single player submitting papers, like we were just printing out Pages (no pun intended) and players leaving early would be a yearly occurrence, when in fact, the submissions happen all the time.

Logan Woodside is a gun slinger and I will take that advantage of someone who can throw the ball.

If there was no pun intended Pages would be in all lower case. I know- I got my education at UT. Besides it's far too good for you to not take credit! 03-wink

I keep hearing that the SC guy is the bigger of two big QB catches and I know Woodside is already here but do we plan to RS one of the frosh? Makes no sense not to but if both are as advertised how likely is it that both will stay for their total elegibility knowing that, barring a Dantin/Owens thing where there was no clearcut leader , one will likely be a career backup?

Or maybe the better athlete of the two ends up at a different position and Rocket Nation gets the benefit of both playing. Happens quite often.

I do not understand this hatred of the 2 QB system. We HAVE to have two top notch QBs available since one always gets injured. We then lose a few games because we have no experienced backup. The modern era of UT football started with Bruce. When he could not play, we lost. Only when we had both Dantin and TO available did losing a QB not cost us games.

You mean like in 2011 when the Rockets tied Boise State for the #9 Offense in the country and #1 in the MAC. UT was #6 in Red Zone Efficiency. Teams have multiple leaders and usually only one QB on the field at a time.
