RE: CIT
I was looking at the CIT website and I'm trying to remember how the makeup is. There aren't any brackets??? Do they just throw us in a gym after each win against some random opponent?

My guess is they need to wait until the NCAA and NIT fields are set to see how everything filters down.

RE: CIT
If I remember correctly this tournament has 24 teams. They play one round cutting it to 12 and then give 4 teams byes and finish it up. Tournaments like this can change every year though so we will have to see.

Our website advertises the tournament and that tickets are available online but you can't. Anyone else tried?

I also just saw that Antonio Gates is on their selection committee.

RE: CIT
Our team belongs in the CIT based on our whole season, but they have been playing at a lot higher level over the last third of the season. They will be one of the best teams in the tourney. They can win this! Let's be the last MAC team standing and be the one that ends the season with a win.

RE: CIT
I went to the web site and the bracket I described above (24 teams) was used in 2011. In 2012 the expanded to 32 teams. It said they will use the old NIT bracket which means after every round they will re-seed the teams. That makes it kind of tough if you are seeded low. If you upset a one seed your right back to playing another one seed in the next round.

RE: CIT
The CBI announced their field and Western Michigan made it. That means one MAC team per tournament. Probably about right. Of the 345 or so Division 1 schools 148 make some tournament. Over 40%. Not such an elite group anymore.

Qualifying for the CIT or CBI is a stroke for the letterhead, not much more.

RE: CIT
Tried to buy 3 tickets but our F$#%ing ticket office is an absolute joke of disorganization. Who runs that thing? Must be an Akron Grad.

And for all you season ticket holders. Did you know they are offering baseball season tickets? Don't know about you but not one message or mailing to me about that.
