Congrats.

I always assumed you were getting your JD/had one, are those your initials or did you change your educational direction?

ah I am proud of his good work but come on, I bet we have some really smart and outstanding folks who post here that have made or are making good contributions to our world. I think you probably are saying that in jest, but frankly I think we should not demean ourselves like that.

Ah that's awesome. Such a long hard road, but hopefully worth it. I'm only doing mine so I can feel good about myself when I get the morning mail.

that is certainly what I thought. I already dislike you less. 03-wink (kidding, or course) so, what does one do with three degrees in Neuroscience?

what's the difference between a dead skunk in the road, and a dead divorce attorney in the road?

there are skid marks in front of the skunk.

As a recovering lawyer (disbarred for cheating clients. J/K!!!---I teach now), I was going to congratulate you on getting out of the business, but congrats anyway.

Neuroscience--I have a close friend who is a neuro-psychologist. A fascinating field right now. Is the old line true that 90% of what we know about the brain, we've learned in the past 10 years?

BTW--I always thought it was kind of pretentious for a lawyer to put JD before his name on a sports forum, glad to see it was your initials instead.

I study a sub field called behavioural endocrinology. Looking at hormones and behaviors, learning/memory, aging. Dual research/teaching. Lots of neuroscientists in hospitals.

I would say 90% is a bit high but every year we learn boatloads. With the invention of neuroimaging we're making huge strides in tons of fields. fMRI = god send for research papers and publications :D I thought about specializing in brain trauma but staring at images all day in radiology makes my head too sad. I'll leave sports neuro stuff to the surgeons.
